I own a low end PC that's only capable of playing Guild Wars.
I bought Sims 2 and was playing at like, 2 frames per second.
It was like watching a slide show of Sims 2 screen shots.

Yeah, the biggest difference is that I haven't OCd my processor. Truth be told, that's foreign to me at this point. This is the first gaming rig I've ever built, so I'm content with stock speeds right now....
...for now.:P
Same here man.Same here.Half the games that I want to play on the PC I can't but that is cool.I don't have 3 grand to just up an build a PC.I own a low end PC that's only capable of playing Guild Wars.

You don't really need 3 grand (although I'm sure you're just making a statement with the price anyway) -- I used to have a Gateway 6860FX as my gaming rig before I got enough cash to make one myself, and it served me pretty well -- runs Crysis on high settings at native res (1440x900) and I play Fallout 3 on it every once in a while on high settings with little framerate drop. The best part is that I only paid about $1200 for it at the time, which I'm sure the price dropped below $1000. So if you're in the market for a rig and can't afford the relatively steep price, go for a mid-high end rig (either one you make yourself or one you purchase).

If you do decide to OC the processor make sure you get a nice cooler, i would get Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme if you can find it, its the best air cooler after that its liqued cooling but i dont trust that.
Yeah i have a gaming rig.
It's the 2nd rig i have built from scratch myself, i just started PC gaming a few years ago and decided to build a medium spec rig but i sort of wasted my money as when i saw crysis i knew i had to build a better rig and so i have a medium spec pc in the loft now that im just keeping for a backup or when i we buy a house(me and my girlfriend live in a flat, apartment if your American) she can have herself a little study and i will keep the high end rig in the gaming room.
I have all next gen console's also, every generation i like to set myself up to be able to play the best the gaming world has to offer and plus i like owning shinny electronics.
I bet this was posted in system wars so fangirls can go "yeah i have a gaming PC, no need for a 360 LOL" i sometimes venture into SW just to have a laugh at all the fangirls, getting very emotional about a piece of hardware is weird IMO but funny to read fangirls going back and forth about which system/game is best and yet it's all subjective but i dont think they understand that.
I want a gaming rig. Been thinking about it for a while now....there's some 360 games I want to play :P
Next year I shall have one for sure! Since I am going to university, and I am going to a Software engineering degree (lots of classes in this degree are game related :D Fulfilling my dream FTW!!) I need a powerhorse so I will be having my gaming rig :)
I own a Gaming Rig and A PS3. I think it is a great combination since microsoft makes a lot of its xbox 360 exclusives on the PC to. The PS3 also has a lot of exclusives coming out.
