ur not gonna find alot of ppl... PS3s just dont break and when they do... its not expected like some other console *cough*mistergamer2006You may want to look on ebay there are more broke ps3 than there are new or good used units so if you think they do not fail you are coughing too much to see
Still on my first one, It is a 40 Gb model ad I have for a little more than a year now.
As for my ps2 it´s amazing the fact that I have it since 2001 and it still works perfect.
So I trust sony´s hardware. Through all these years the only thing that has gone worse was my dualshock 2´s analog sticks which are almost ruined from all the playing and there did was another of those controller´s that had one button ruined since i played with it for the first time.........u kinda had to push the button really harder than u should for it to be processed........
That´s my history with sony. I always buy their products: controllers, memory sticks, consoles and never had any problem except for the tiny ones mentioned above.
PS1 - 1 PS2 - 1 PS3 - 1 (knock on wood, cross my fingers)I'm just curious because my PS3 broke about a week ago and I'm waiting for the second one to come in. How many PS3's have you had that broke? I just had the one that was broken, I'll be on my second PS3 when it comes back.

[QUOTE="enemy-within11"]PS1 - 1 PS2 - 1 PS3 - 1 (knock on wood, cross my fingers)LOL same here,Sony makes some reliable stuff, everything in my house is Sony.Or maybe I'm just lucky with these stuff(but I wasn't so lucky with the 360 though).I'm just curious because my PS3 broke about a week ago and I'm waiting for the second one to come in. How many PS3's have you had that broke? I just had the one that was broken, I'll be on my second PS3 when it comes back.

4 PS2s, launch PS2 died after 2 yrs from drive failure. Girlfriend bought me another one. Sold it yr later. Bought a slim traded it in for PS3 controller. Bought another slim after my PS3 was stolen to hold me over until I got another PS3. Traded that one in for another controller.
Only 2 PS3s, the first was stolen from my apartment.

i keep my playstation in its good condition, removing dust and stuff.. i think some ppl dont do that, then they get cooler problems i guess?

The original PlayStation had some very well known issues regarding heat problems, that TO THIS DAY Sony refuses to admit to. Why else do you think they had silently redesigned the PS1? Also, I treat my Sony systems better than I've treated systems from any other company and yet they fall apart that much more often than any other company's consoles. I've had my original Dreamcast for more than 6.5 years of even what I would deem abusive treatment and has managed to keep on going. I've had the gamecube for nearly 8 years of service and it's continued on strong until I finally got a Wii to replace its place. Yet the only PlayStation that has ever lasted me a long time was the one I'd went out of my way to get modchipped. Figure that one out, chief. :roll:you obviously don't treat your systems well, like really you thought it was a good idea to put a console upside down for more airflow? yeah cause that would be good for the disc...
l have had every sony system with not a hitch, all working perfectly still

You really should have sold your PS3 after you got it back from repair. Holding on to years of anger really isn't healthy.emitsu97Well, what the hell else am I going to be able to get to play all those PlayStation games that I have? Or should I just throw those away too? That makes no sense whatsoever. Why should I have to give up all those classics that I have slaved and earned money to buy because Sony can't make a single reliable console?
You must treat your consoles terribly. If you treat these good I can't imagine your other ones. lahdeedahBut see, here's the thing. It has only ever been SONY consoles that have gone and failed on me. Not Sega, not Nintendo, not even the Xbox 360 has failed as often or regularly as Sony's products. And I treat them all equally. the PlayStations are the only ones I'd ever gone out of my way to maintain, whereas I'd do so every now and again for the other units. And even now with this ps3, I've got it raised up on the highest rack on my desk, away from anything that could create dust for it to suck in, and it's still running hotter than a **** My 360 doesn't do that. Not even the reinforced PS2 that I have now at the bottom of the desk arrangement I currently have for it. I'm not the one doing anything wrong here. Sony's consoles just seem to always fall apart for me, and that's the truth. If you don't like the truth, that's all well and good. But you have no right to try and shut me up or insult me about my experience either.

Do you live near power lines or a nuclear reactor? Does your job require that you drag your feet along carpet for 8 hours a day? Do you have an abnormally high bioelectric charge? Have you sprayed for goblins?
