One. I threw it on the couch, it bounced off the edge, hit the floor and the R1 + R2 buttons broke. I didn't throw it out of rage just incase anybody is wondering. I just have extremely bad luck.
i still have my sixaxis controller from 3 years ago, works fine. my 2nd controller is a dualshock and it too, is not broken in anyway....how on earht do people go through 5 controllers???? to me, thats not possible....unless you throw a 9 year old tantrum and throw the controller at a wall.
I broke one PS1 controller in a drunken rage but fortunately they were easy to fix. The N64 controller on the other hand, forget about it! Once you take one of those apart, all these parts come out. :P From the PS2 on, I've never broken a controller.
[QUOTE="dank124"]3, and i traded them all back to gamestop.LordsLossHow did they break and how did you get them to take them back? two were the cheap sisaxis i had from launch that just stopped working properly and the other one was a ds3 that i took apart and lost a few screws and some of the little plastic innards. and they didnt even bother testing them although i didnt get much for them, maybe 20bucks for all three, this was in november
None... I don't throw my possessions around, I work hard for the things I buy lol.
I'm pretty gental with controllers when playin too. I've seen people who just slam the joysticks around and stuff. People like that don't play my PS3 lol
0. If I get pissed, I just punch the couch. I'm not going to throw that kind of money away.

That i implies to me as well :)
I haven't broken any of them like by throwing them against a wall, just normal wear and tear by use..
1 had loose R & L sticks and another had a flimsy L2 button and my dog chewed it a little so i just swapped the good sticks onto controller 1..
now i just use controller 2 for spare parts lol..
i have 6 controllers though.
After the PS2 days, I make sure that if I ever get annoyed I do not take my anger out on the controller.
So far I haven't broken any PS3 controllers, but a couple have deteriorated in condition (especially analog sticks going sticky) so I'm currently on my 4th controller due to that.
Well, one controller I had broke, but not because I threw it or anything, it was just a cheap piece of crap...
