who didnt have a ps2? i just got a psp fall of 2006, still undecided whether or not it was a good choice, i thought you would be able to use psp with ps3 a bit more
I have PS3 and PSP and my PS2 is at a friends house, and I'm not going to even bother picking it up because it's pratically broken and modded. I have the 20GB PS3 and the PSP does connect to it, but it doesn't do the "remote play".

Yea the remote play is what i was referring to. That really sucks. I had the extra hundred but didnt need the extras. Crap that really sucks.
I never owned a Playstation ever. But I bought a PS3 60gig. I want to buy a 360, maybe by the end of the year, so I can play all the games. but I've never really owned any console but the SNES.
i just glad i got one cuz i would've hated to miss the games that i got to play on the ps2

He didnt miss out on that much now that he has a PS3. Just as long as s/he get the freakin awsome games from the PS1 and PS2.
I went out and bought GT3 and GT4. I've prolly put in about 100 hours on GT3 and it's still not 100% complete. GT4 is way different than all the others. I've played Playstations before just never owned one.
I have had 3 ps2s (first two broke after about one or two years each but my slimline has worked perfectly for about a year) since around 2002, I got a psp this past x-mas, and I will buy my ps3 either during Spring Break or after the semester is over. I used to have a ps1 but that was after ps2 came out and then I gave it to my sister when I got my ps2, but she broke it.
I'm a long standing fan of the Playstation franchise. When PS1 hit, I got it for Christmas 1995. When PS2 hit, I bought it with my tax return, March 2001 (soonest I could find one on a shelf). When PSP hit, I got it day 1 at the midnight launch. When PS3 hit, I got it as quickly as possible. 5 days after launch. The deal is that each Playstation iteration has had backwards compatibility, so there was no need for me to keep the older system when the new one plays the games just fine. So, when PS2 came out, I sold my PS1. When PS3 came out, I sold my PS2. If PS4 comes out with backwards compatibility, I'll sell my PS3. My Playstation Game Catalog: PS1 - 45 Games PS2 - 25 Games (Still getting games for this. When all is said and done I'll have around 40 or so.) PS3 - 02 Games (I'll be adding another 7 or so PS3 titles to that by the end of the year.) PSP - 06 Games (I use this mainly for multimedia than games. It still plays games great though.)
