How much does psn lag? does it lag at all?

I have a good connection

i have never ever seen lag in resistance or warhawk or motorstormcooldust

Ive seen others have lag (like you see the character standing there doing nothing, especially in Resistance. But as far as me. Never. I even download demos fast, I mean, Ratchet took me 20 minutes :D

i have not experienced lag on PSN once and i will say my connection is alright and im running in wirelessly

also my bro-in-law has a 30% connection (he lives in military housing with shared connection) and he has only lagged maybe once or twice

wow thats fast to download that demo!! it took me like 2 hours atleast lol

i got the slowest connection available from verizon online dsl since its only 15 bucks a month but i still dont notice any lag at all in resistance... plays fine

i guess my downloads take a lot longer though

this Really depends on YOUR connection. now you say you have a good connection what u talken. i play on a 8mb down 512 up. thats speed. i dont really ever see laging though there are a few people out there who just squeez by with a connection so bad you can literaly see them bliping in and out. its really kind of funny.from what i can tell on the psn ur connection makes the diff. untouchables111

Lag is your connection and the hosts connection it has nothing to do with XBL or PSN.

Both xbl live and psn are p2p peer online services, resistence and warhawk have some dedictaed servers RFOM has dedicated servers for large matches and warhawk has a few dedicated severs and i dont think any xbl game has dedicated severs.

It really has nothing to do with xbl/psn its all about your connection/host connection/other players connection, and also make sure your not using any applications that use bandwidth windows messenger/IE progrmas like that, infact its best to just unplug your pc while playing online.

I very rarely have lag in any xbl/psn game when playing someone from the uk or u.s.

if your having problems with lag allot i'd say thats more than likely your connection, run ad-aware spyware progrmas and anti-virus prgrams check your start up programs, just because your connection is fast doesnt mean theres not a program/virus/spyware slowing it down.

It's not xbl thats making your games lag its either your connection/the hosts connection/ or somebody else's connection, but when we play online we veery rarely have lag as i always play with friends i know who have good connections.

only time i lag is when i playing agaisnt someone on the other side of the world that has a crappy connection.

What is your connectio speed, what package and service prvider do you use.

have a connection that always downloads between 800kb p/s and 1MB p/s thats a 10Mb connection, but i have had problems all year iuse aol, i never had any problems for year bt last dec the carphoe warhouse took over aol europe and they limit(throttle) speed during peak times so during the hours of 6pm-10pm sometimes my connection drops to 50b p/s and i just dont lay online.

Allot of servie providers now adaysthrotle speeds during peak times, so it could be that, even if your service provider says an unlimited cdownloads it may not be, aol offer says unlimited downloads but they throttle speeds during peak times.

P.S. Get you keyboard fixed. It took me 27 minutes to read and made my eyes bleed.

Wrong... XBL is P2P and PSN has dedicated servers,two completely different things.

I have the cheapest plan also. It works but donwload times are annoying when you know what you could have.

listen to me kind sir...i've been having my ps3 for several hundreds years now, and i have never seen lag, and if i do...well my wife wont wake up the next day...hahaha:)

i havent notice any lag from PSN, i hav had lag on COD4 but that was coz i had a bad connection at that time(i have wireless) not PSN
