If you're talking about the Magnavox odyssey you're wrong. It was discontinued long before you were born so you couldn't have played "since" the odyssey.
I guess what you mean is that the Odyssey was your first console, in that case it's really cool to see that you're still into videogames!
Damn I feel like a little kid though most of you older folk would probably call me one :P I'm 16. I'm definitely more mature than other people around my age group who think Call of Duty is a Godsend and like to use a certain word that used to mean a bundle of sticks to describe someone else. *sigh* I hate my generation.....
I must say I'm rather surprised at the average age here. I would've thought it would be much younger, but I'm quite pleased that it is over 20. I'm 18, gaming since 1997. Which I know realise is probably nothing for some of you.
28, been playing video games since i was like 5 and with 2 kids and a wife i see no reason to stop...execpt i dont buy the $60 games at release anymore, i just get them off ebay for $20 a few months later.
Think it's funny that people are amazed at others in their 50s play games, lol. Seriously, who cares, you think it's "weird" come on man. What is it with people and their personal idea of what's acceptable and what isn't? I guess in your narrow mind you think at a certain age everyone should be doing very specific things in their lives.. . So I can count on you to have "grown up" by your 50s and not playing "childish games", eh? :roll:

I don't think it was a matter of people saying whether it was "acceptable" or not, just that it's uncommon especially when the 'gamer stigma' posts most of us are 17-25. I'm surprised at almost everyone's ages so far, and yes I'm also surprised at ones in their 50's or 60's purely because irl I don't know a single person over 45 who plays games.
