How PISSED Do YOU get when you hear about PS3 Price Drops?

I mean for guys who bought a PS3 early off for the big bucks, and now they see all these price drops and new model and new controller being introduced, how does that make you feel? (Use the PissedOmeter: at a scale where 10 is most pissed, and 0 is least pissed).

I ask this for economic concerns. Thanks for respond.

2, its better for the system and its sales. but the controller thing, that got me a little mad.

besides if u think about it 60 gb is stil considered the best model so im happy:)

0. i know what im doing when buying electronics. i know when i buy something, there won't be a great amount of time before the price drops. but thats how it works. i could've waited for the ps3's price to drop, but i was the 1st person i know to buy a ps3and i dont really care about paying a bit more to get something right as it comes out. i dont make impulse buys, i do research before i buy anything major, like a new console or tv, or computer. so i expect the price to drop, but while people wait, i'll enjoy my $600 machine.

I agree with that. Its not like we did not know it would happen. Fact is, if the PS3 had to drop to 100 bucs to sell, it would. Although they would loose a tun. They have enough in the back pocket to cover. Their main thing their trying to do, is get to a point to where their right in the main user base area. And they will do anything to get their. Ok so maybe they wont send checks to EA or others, lol But almost anything.

And another fact is. As a owner, you need that user base to get what you want out of the machine latter.

Im not pissed im happy. More playstion owners= more fun and more games why should I be pissed? I decided to get it early it was my choice I know there was gonna be a price drop sometime in the future. Did i think it would have been this fast? No, but I don't mind. Plus I didn't pay for all of my PS3 I only paid $360 of it. And yes I was an early adopter got my PS3 Jan 2nd 2007.

0, I'm mean we all knew it would drop eventually. That's like me getting excited that I can run out and buy a PS1 now for $25. Things get cheaper the longer they are out, I'm happy with my 60 gig.

I bought the 60gig at full price and have no regrets and would do it again in a second. If Sony dropping the price means more people can and will enjoy the Ps3, why should I be against it?

Yes that would be a 1 ... early adoption of any console is an estimated risk because price always goes down.

I don't get pissed at all because I have my 60gb and it has the most features, so why be mad?

I'm happy when there's a price drop, because that means the PS3 is becoming more competitive and more people will buy them and with the larger installed base more developers will want to make games for it, and I'll be able to buy and enjoy those games.

I payed $500 for a 60GB PS3 in September, so I got in after the first price drop and right before some really great games started coming out. I'm sure if I had bought it at launch for $600 and had to play Resistance and Virtua Fighter 5 for 10 months before something better was out, I'd be upset, but only upset at myself for not waiting, not upset with Sony.

I just wish I could have gotten Dual Shock 3 controllers with my PS3 instead of Sixaxis, because now I know I'll have to buy at least one more controller, if not replace the two I already have.

Still, when they put a PS3 out there for $299, I'll be cheering for them.

I bought a 60 gb over a year ago, and have 4 sixaxis controllers. i do not regret either of those. I don't care about rumble, so why should the controller thing bother me? I bought a machine for $600 that was worth more than that. The closest comparable console would have cost me over $900, assuming I bought all the extras that come standard with PS3 (hi-def movie player, wifi, online play, etc., etc.). Not only did I think that the rpice I paid was fair, I paid that price knowing that 6 months to a year later the price would drop.

Seriously people, all new tech drops in price, and drops rapidly. Yeah, I coulda waited a year and saved $100 (because there's no way I would have gotten the 40gb). But hey, if I was gonna wait one year, I may as well wait two, it'll probably drop another 50-100. In fact... I bet I could wait till the PS4 comes out, and then the PS3 will be under 200, maybe under 150. And all the games will be dirt cheap too, assuming I can still find em.You know, now that I think about it, I am mad I paid so much for a ps3.. I probably couldv'e got a ps1 at a garage sale for like $10 bucks instead. Who wants to play the new games while they are still new anyway?

As an early adopter, you have to expect these kinds of things. You don't go and purchase something from the leading edge and expect it to stay at that price forever. Prices of hardware are known to drop (exponentially?) as time goes on.

If you do happen to get pissed when you hear about PS3 price drops, then the only person you should be angry at is yourself.

I'm not pissed because I was one of the first ones to own a launch console and it was great! The extra time spend with it was worth it in my opinon. Plus how do you not know a price drop would happen especially in major electronics? It's going to happen regardless. And now that the price is lower and people are buying more of it, it gets the ps3 a fan base bigger which means more support for the system.

A price drop means good for everyone and if you're mad, be mad at yourself for not researching harder and being patient. There's always going to be deals, just know when they come out. Plus this is probably the most advanced techonolgy you would get for this cheap of a price, atleast to my knowledge.
