How playable are Kingdom Hearts games without the cutscenes?

I'm talking about the All-in-One package.

Not only do cutscenes make up a stupidly large portion of the game, but the story is a convoluted mess that I can't comprehend anyways. So I thought: why not save myself from this meaningless torture and just skip everything that is skippable?

I hope this isn't one of those things where the player HAS to watch the cutscenes to know where to go and what to do in a big open setting...

There may be a handful of times where you won't know where to go unless you watch the cutscene. I can think of at least one instance during the Deep Jungle section of KH1. Granted, you can run around until you find where you're supposed to be, but it does get frustrating at times. XD I've already beaten the main entries to this series, so I skip too.
