Ok, I am confused. One person is saying that currently the Asian version has Japanese text, and the American version will have English text. And the rest of you are saying that they will be exactly the same.

So which one is it? Different or same?

Yeah, but I have heard that the Asian version already has english voices and text, and only the manual is in Chinese (don't know if this is true, this is only what I have heard). So I want to know what is the advantage of waiting for the American version?

I'm pretty sure they will be the same gameplay wise. The difference I read about is the North America version will be getting it's own servers. So there will be a clean start for it's release.

There is two versions currently, the Japan version (which is in japanese) and the Asian version which has full english. Which is why so many people have imported it.

I have been researching the different versions, and I believe that is correct. But there is also a Korean version that is supposed to have full English option also.

I have the Korean version of Demon's Souls. Everything is in english, from text to voices. Only thing that isn't english is the manual, and I never bother looking at manuals anyways. The Chinese version is also meant to have english options but the japanese version is all japanese, no english.

As mentioned earlier there are two versions currently of Demon's Soul.

The Japanese and Asian (which has English text).

The major difference American version will have is that we also get our own servers, what this means is that if you import Japanese or Asian version you won't be playing with American players in upcoming game release since they are on import servers.

This is one of many reason I don't import most games if they are coming over seas.

If you buy the American version, everyone will be level 1 to start with and you can't play with import players.

This is all assuming you're actually going to be connected online. You can play Demon's Soul completely offline, in that case it matters not which version you get. ;)
