How's SH:Homecoming?

Is it good, is it connected to past Silent Hill games or should I wait for SH: Shattered Memories?

New comers to Silent Hill might enjoy it but I'm strongly recommending you to rent it if you're like me - Silent Hill fan.

There isn't much here to talk about, Silent Hill Homecoming doesn't play or feel like previous Silent Hill games, the game is not done byTeam Silent but developed by American team - Foundation 9 Entertainment and Double Helix Games who I have nothing personally against but they did not capture Silent Hill psychological atmosphere in any way nor do they have experience to continue such survival horror video game that is both unique and always made you feel you are in this Insane, creepy and messed up world. It actually made you feel scared to play the game... Think Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2.

Instead, they drew inspiration from Silent Hill movie.....

There is one aspect you will love - the sounds and music.

Despite the change in development team, Akira Yamaoka returned from past installments in the series to be the game's producer, as well as to create both music and sound effects for the game and let me tell you - it's as freaky and messed up as before!

Unfortunately, it takes more the deliver great Silent Hill game.

Rent this one, pick up previous ones. Any from 1-3 is well done. ;)

Completly uninspired, outragously focused on combat, and a story dumbed down for, well for no one really. If you are a fan your going to be upset.

The last good SH game was SH3, but if you've never played the series OR feel some kind of pressure to own every SH game (regardless of suckage), by all means, knock yourself out with Homecoming.istuffedsunny

4 was good, not great, but it atleast deserves good. It had one of the best storys and it wasone of the most refreshing takes on the series.

this one is probably the only game i regret buying for ps3

this game is sucks really bad. it's not scary at all. just REALLY REALLY ANNOYING. games are meant to be enjoyed. i did NOT enjoy playing this piece of s**t game one bit. this is by far the WORST game i've ever played. my money would be better spent on a short lapdance from a mediocre-looking stripper

i liked the game

but there was to much looking for stuff

and it got old after a while

I disliked it a lot and thought that it did not do justice to the series.
