i bought a ps3 today and it came with 2 games but i seen Resident evil 4 for 9 bucks... so i was going to get it and he said it doesnt work on new ps3s so i was just wandering if that is true?

its an 80 gig and i dont know if its a newer model or not i mean i just got it but it could have been sittin there for awhile im just curious cause i dont wanna go out and buy something thats not gonna work
So if you only have two usb ports in the front you have the newer 80gb model, which will not play ps2 games.
another thing i dont get is why would they stop making ps2 games compatible for the new systems... im sorry but it doesnt make sence
It is because Sony is trying to cut costs because they are losing too much money selling each ps3 or so I heard...
Yes, it is true.
