Yea, get an online game first because it will keep you really busy for a while.
i got resistance months ago and still love playing it.
I got heavenly sword and assasins(a good 5 months after i got resistance), completed em and dont play them really now unless i really fancy playing them.
If you play multiplayer you should get a game with online cuz it adds a lot of replayability, so either UT3, COD4 or Burnout paradise. Dont listen to anyone that tells you to get uncharted, ratchet, heavenly sword,Assassins creed cuz you will be done with them the day you buy them or the day after.
COD4 will last forever. Then i would suggest Uncharted : Drakes Fortune. Its about the best action game to come to a console, it plays like you are watching Indiana Jones (which is awesome btw)
