[QUOTE="ProjectTrinity"] Casuals call it simplistic but the hardcore says it has depth? I see Kratos fans will switch around just about anything to defend him.ProjectTrinity
Yup, especially since I provided many examples, although I guess that part went over your head. I won't judge.
I guess I should have just destroyed your points instead of suggesting it.My apologies.
Let me provide you with a piece of information: "Using my imagination" does not equate to "Many examples". Neither does the weapon switch. If anything, most Kratos fans would do well not to bring it up, seeing how it is...."inspired" from Devil May Cry's gameplay, which invented mid-weapon change. All you're doing is scratching the barrel for your beloved game. In fact, you're doing exactly what every other person does when they're running out of logic: insults. Kudos.
Again, if someone wants to call God of War shallow, then perhaps it's because they've actually experienced games with more depth. It's not a hard concept actually. I'm sure even someone who seems to want to defend Kratos to a fanboyish extent can grasp that logic. Right, Kori-san? (If not, I suggest you switch yourself out for someone who understands the art of debate)
The reason I scoffed at you the first time is because the whole theory that casuals think it's shallow, but the hardcore seemingly know it's not, is silly. And the more you talk, the easier it is for me to point out the reasons. Such as your many examples including and limited to: "Imagination" and "Mid weapon switching". As if every other excellent Hack and Slash formula didn't better or perfect this. The question is, will you keep talking yourself into an hilarious conversation, or did you have something substantial you didn't add the first time?
Although the controls really aren't too complicated, once you get good at the game you can string together some nice combos, and on the higher difficulties you have to use the parries and rolls etc. I agree, though, that its not nearly as complex as Ninja Gaiden's controls. I can't really comment on the Devil May Cry games as I've never played them.
