i agree with all the smart people here! even if these GS clowns give the game a 2 out of 10 i am buying it. if u want real reviews of games go elsewhere. this site is only good for news and even there sometimes they are slow

And out of that notable group of 1st party titles, Uncharted (GS gave it 8.0), R&C: Tools of Destruction (7.5 at GS), and God of War: CoO (8.5), all stellar titles by the way, have received Metacritc averages well above 8.5.

I am 100% sure that GameSpot is going to rate MGS4 a 9.0

only because they know that that PS3 fanboys are gonna go crazy if they don't. Plus, it's going to be an awesome game so why wouldn't they. but i do see where you are coming from...i mean rating Uncharted & Heavenly Sword an 8!!! come on! they both deserve a 9!

Why do people care??? Game ratings are guides to get an idea what a game is like in comparison to others. MGS4 will be an awesome game and will sell very well even if the average score turns out to be around a 9. As long as YOU like the game, seriously, who cares???CJL182

I don't care, and I agree with you. But at the same time, I have friends that come to this site, and if a game is rated 7.5 or lower, they will not buy it. It's dumb on their part, but it's the truth.

Now I know my friends aren't the only ones like that, so them being bias hurts sales. Take God of War for the PSP, on gamerankings.com, this site has the only review out of 18, that scored it in the 80's percentage wise.

mgs4 will get an 8

since its the 4th installmentish and well gs will say theres nothing new and it feels like the other mgs games cause its a sony game

Yeah we'll see considerng Gamespot has lost a bunch of employees in the past couple months and the fact that they review all the PS3 games with lower ratings than other sites I wouldn't be surprised if MGS4 got a 8 or 8.5...
