[QUOTE="Silent-Hal"]Blame Microsoft, not Bethesda. They're the ones that paid out the nose for the DLC to be exclusive. TheGreatOutdoor

Well considering it is going to PC as well, they didn't do to good of a job keeping it exclusive.

Yeah, it is not for general pc. you have to buy it from Games for windows live service, or you can't buy it. That leaves out a large population of pc gamers in other contries as gfwl is only in a few countries. Then there are the people who hate gfwl as they see it for what it is. MS wanting to monopolize the pc and charge more for things . GFWL they were trying to bring the xbox pay to play model to the pc, it failed as pc gamers aren't suckers... and ms is now trying to con its way by doing this exclusive dlc. Which frankly sucks! I hate gfwl...Remember them bringing out halo2 and making it GFWL and vista only, thought it could of played fine without either. Being on the pc by itself does nothing for ms. on gfwl it gives them cash and pads their numbers and agenda. I will not support such them at all.

Who cares? Fallout 3 sucked anyway. I'd rather look forward to other games than broken DLC for a broken game.

Personally I hate M$. M$ has been known to introduce these kind of business practices who ultimately screw the consumer. It is the same with the operating system markets and how they hold the exclusivity of compatibility with many hardware vendors. Those are monopolistic activities!!! M$ doesn't care about consumers they only care about money. Now Sony has to play the same god damn game because with M$ playing dirty is the only way. F**K OFF M$! I can't wait for the day this company goes through the drain.Odrec
Agred!! Hopefully now that Gates is retired, balmer will run the business into the ground. We can only hope!!! The thing is both systems would be getting multoplat dlc , ms buys it not to get , but only so they get it and the ps3 doesn't. It would be made regardless. It's very wrong as the game is out on both. Exclusive games are different and acceptable, this is not. It makes it more messed up because ms killed off 3 devs that made mostly pc games and 360 games....Ensemble, Aces, and Fasa, They were pc devs which ms made them make 360 games, and after each one made a 360 game, under ms instructions, ms killed them off. There reasoning that these devs didn't promote the new casual 360 focus... so now ms only has 2 devs...lionhead and rare, making 1st party games while sony has 20+, this is why Sony doesn't bid for these dlc paks, how can they bid agains ms and its' bottomless pockets? Sony spends their money funding exclusive GAMES, not dlc. Full Game Experiences, either brand new IP, or Sequels to fan favorite ps franchises. What would you rather have a few dlc packs or full games like God of War 3, killzone 2, uncharted 2, heavy rain, white knight chronicles, etc.. all these games will not go to ms. I know Sony has the better plan, it just boggles my mind how MS fanboys , and the general public tout the non-creative dlc crap as better...when it's so much worse and less. Not one ms game has used it's own engine. They all use middleware, Sony goes all out for its 1st party. I'd take that any day over some crappy dlc. Still it pisses me off that ms does this. They should be doing the same as sony and making thier own games. Both consloles would get games and the same dlc.

ThePrince1409

To all 360 fanboy go and cry in corner because you can't get UNCHARTED 2. haha

We don't need UNCHARTED 2 (Copycat Tomb Raider) LOL because we have Halo Wars haha

Halo Wars....lol.... come on now...... You can't have Wipeout hd, Twisted metal black 2, MAG, white knight chronicles, Uncharted 1 and 2, God of war 3, Socom confrontation, Littlle big planet, Cross Edge, Disgaea 3, Valkeria Chronicles, Heavnly Sword, Syphon Filter, Resistnace 1 and 2, Motorstrom 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Hevey Rain, Mlb the show, Infamous, Warhawk, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy 13vs, Final fantasy 13 the blue-ray non-port edition, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Quantom Theroy, Demon Souls, Yakuza 3, Improved Eteranal Sonata, Improved Bioshock, Improved Tales of Vesperia, flower, fat princess, burn zombie burn, Noby Noby boy, Katamari Dimacy Tribute Hd, pixel junk series, siren blood cures, Savage Moon, Crash Commandos, Super Star Dust Hd, New Team ICo game, Ratchet and clank future, booty, and crack in time, and a whole slew of games not announced yet. Get it, so enjoy your feeble dlc...let sony keep cranking out the exclusive games built with their own engines from the ground up on ps3, not using middleware unreal engine like 90% of 360 games.

[QUOTE="emitsu97"][QUOTE="2beers_in_hand"]

Can you blame them? If you were a game developer who spends millions on making a game, would you turn down more money? Yeah I know it sucks but as long as MS is willing to open their wallet its going to happen.

2beers_in_hand

That makes perfect sense considering Bethesda has completely alienated the entire PS3 install base by not allowing them the ability to purchase multiple digital episodes of additional content...wait a second...

Actually it does make perfect sense. All MS did was to make sure that they gave Bethesda enough money for their DLC to offset any profit that it would have made if it was on both console's. Do I agree with these business practices no I dont I think it's B.S too. The only way to show Bethesda that they screwed up is to stop buying their games, no PS3 owner should buy New Vegas when it comes out.

Don't do that, VEgas is being made by Obsidian Entertainment, not Bethesda, Bethesda is just licensing the ip. Obsidian made KOTOR 2, And Neverwinter Nights 2, bothe killer rpgs, and did you know that the head guys at obsidian used to be none other than Black Isle Entertainement, which made Fallout 2 , Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale and produced the dark alliance games on ps2. Support Obsidian as much as you can they make excellent games. They are also bringing out Alpha Protocol the spy rpg.

Erm as a PS3 and an Xbox owner it doesn't really bother me. But what Microsoft are doing is just good business, giving people an incentive to buy one version over another is pretty standard. I'm a bit tired of Sony being tight bastards and not coughing up for exclusive content actually, they've got hench hardware, loads of cash, but still they won't nab any exclusive deals. Microsoft are real competition, Sony need suck it up and start splashing out. Its actually gotten to the point where I don't touch 3rd party games for PS3 because I know Sony are too cheap to land DLC for 'em. And its a real shame, because PS3's exclusive games are nuts for it.maxpwnsall
Do you even read the news. Sony is in the red from last year, and the recession, not on the playstation side of things but with hd tvs and what not. They can't afford to do that, let alone with a company like m$ who has trillions of dollars, basically bottomless pockets. Sony has peanuts compared to ms in wealth. And not only that MS only has 2 first party developers, RArE and lionhead, Sony has 20+ developers making exclusive games. Sony has said from the beginning that exclusive 1st party games is where they will be investing heavily into. 1st party, meaning new ips, like uncharted, infamous, white knight chronicles, and resistance, or sequels to PlayStation franchises like Killzone 2, grand turismo 5, Ratchet, etc.. I would rather have the exlucsive 1st party games built for the system using up the entire blue-ray disc and using an engine built for the ps3 rather then some crummy dlc for a multiplat game that was a port from an inferior system. Sorry 1st party is the right move. They can't spend cash on everything!

I'm not even going to bother with fallout3 until i find it for $20 or a GOTY edition comes out.

RandomBeast

Same here. It's $140 in NZ and I refuse to pay that much unless I'm getting the full experience.

Hell yea man we get screwed here so badly here, games SFIV and RE5 i have to wait to drop since they cost $140 and $130... and i had to buy fallout 3 second hand ($65)

[QUOTE="CanadianCR"] You clearly have NO idea how business runs eh ..

Wrong one? How so? I bought it .. my friend bought it for the 360, yet it's exactly the same? :roll:konradak

Lol. YOU clearly have NO idea how business runs, eh. Wrong one in the sense that most PS3 users who play Fallout 3 complain that the DLC is 360 only when it was mentioned from the beginning that the 360 will get exclusive DLC. Sure, most of them probably didn't have both a 360 and a PS3 to make a decision, but now they complain like it was never mentioned or they didn't know. Oh well, too bad. Should've gotten the 360 version. Oh, and I've played both versions, and I know the 360's version runs better. So no, it's not exactly the same.

Sorry but CanadianCR is right, you've got no idea. I'm not complaining about the lack of DLC my issue is with developers who sell out for a quick buck and disservice the gaming public in general. I've got more than enough in gaming content to keep me busy until the holidays, the last thing I need is more DLC. Btw, I had a 360 well before I ever had my PS3 and I would still find issue with this business "strategy" regardless of who's giving and taking the buyout.

Guess I'm lucky that the PS3 version had bugs when it first came out otherwise I would have gotten it. Though I wouldn't be surprised if a GOTY edition is released that has the DLC in it like did with Oblivion and Morrowind.

Fair enough, but now explain to me why I'm wrong. Quite honestly, I don't see how this is a disservice. There have been exclusive third party games and content for years now. This is no different. It's called a business, why wouldn't MS do what it can to get the upper hand? So long as they steer clear of a Monopoly, which wouldn't happen because I don't see Sony backing down anytime soon or Nintendo quitting. They are all competing for your money and your support. Just sounds like tactical business making to me. Nobody really loses here. PS3 owners still have Fallout 3, and from the sound of it most of them don't even what OP or The Pitt because it was so "buggy" or broken.

You really aren't missing much, the DLC thus far has been pretty underwhelming. Operation: Anchorage was just awful, The Pitt was 'meh'. Broken Steel actually sounds interesting though.

PS3 owners should at least have the opputunity to get Broken Steel. Or, if the PS3 doesn't get DLC, we should get user-made mods!

I dunno if it smart to annoy sony fans though, just think if the ps4 or even if the ps3 is as successful in the future as the ps2 and no one wants to buy from bethesda who owns a ps3/4 because when we were down on the ground they kicked us in the guts

Thats why they can do this cause you people will still buy good things they make Imagine if in this time next year 150 million people had a ps3 and none of them would buy from bethesda cause of how they sell out on us now it would be awesome.

I have a love hate relationship with bethesda. I love there games overall. Oblivion "on pc" is the kind of game a I always wanted growing up. a game that let me live in a big fantasy world, let me create my own charicter and explore. Same with fallout 3. How everi hate how buggy there games are, and im realy ticked as a ps3 owner in how i feel they have treated me/us. But after the MANY hundereds of hours of fun i have had with Oblivion and the so far120+ hours i have had with fallout 3 i justcantstay mad at them.I know one thing for sure though, afterhaveing exp oblivion on PC and now Fallout 3 on ps3.... if the next ES or fallout game is a good sequel i will be builing a new gameing rig to play them on for sure ;)

All that would happen is 150 million "gamers" would be denying themselves a great game (if it actually is good, if not then nvm) and it'll still do well because chances are it'll sell well on the 360.

i hate bethesda too! i am a ps3 and xbox 360 owner but i dont hate bethesda for releasing downloadable content for ps3 after xbox 360 got it. i hate that these license stealing bastards bought the license from interplay! the interplay made fallouts are much better than the generic bethesda failed copies. just because they made some good games like oblivion doesnt mean they should make fallouts. when i beat fallout and fallout 2 i played them again in fact ive got new files on them now since i got the fallout trilogy, but when i beat fallout 3 i got all the achievements and hawked the piece of **** i played the dlc at my friends house and thought "wow, this **** sucks!". now dont get me wrong, i like bethesda's other games, but not their fallouts. i think i speak for everyone when i say "go back to **** you actually know something about, bethesda!". no offense to bethesda fans. long live vault boy!

I just hate Bethesda for making a crappy game like Oblivion, they own me 60 bucks :( 5 bucks for gas also....and 20 for Trauma

Unknown_Hero3

I owe them the price of a ps3 :( BECAUSE OBLIVION WAS TO DARN GOOD!! :D
