Never mentioned a used PSP. My assumption here is the TC is getting a new PSP. So $199 + $60 is more than the $249 Go, which is what I was getting at. I understand that Sony is notorious for their greed and over pricing but I do think if they want the Go to be successful they will have to match the price of UMD games. The problem is not with all games, just a select number. New games like AC, LBP, and GT are the same price on UMD as they are to download and I don't think we will see any games come out from here on that are more expensive on PSN than in store. All that is needed is for the price of old games to drop. I really want Hot Shots Golf 2 on my PSP but no way I pay more than I would for it on UMD and if enough people share that attitude Sony will have to match prices or they won't sell anything.

Core 3000 systems are only $169 brand-new in the box, $199.00 assumes a bundle, and assuming gets you the age-old proverb of "Assuming makes an *** out of U and Me".
A 3000 is going to be cheaper every time.
And again, hoping that Sony is going to cut any deals or be interested in doing you (the consumer) any favors assumes that Sony has been more than happy with all of the piracy and other crap surrounding their money-seive of a gaming platform... they've been losing money on the PSP since it's inception. Now with the Go, it's time to make some of that loss back. Having consumers buy a piece of hardware which makes them DEPENDANT on the parent company means they have virtual slaves to crank out the money... junkies enraptured by the high. An opium den for PSP players. And once they have you laid out on that bed, they'll keep the dope coming to keep you on the hook.
I'm not badgering you with this or trying to beat it into you. Either you get it or you don't... but Sony isn't going to let up on any choke hold they get. It's just not going to happen. Look at sales figures for any recent UMD game, look at the amount of piracy you can find of those titles out there on the Net (I'm not PROMOTING IT, I'm just pointing it out for the sake of this discussion), look at the reports of 'Dismal sales' etc etc right here on GameSpot, and tell me that Sony is happy with how things have gone up to this point in the system's life?
They've got a heap of makin' up to do as far as turning the system profitable after so many years of leaking cash into the stratosphere.
You've got it pretty spot on. The way to make a company change their practices is to not buy their product. You don't keep buying and hope that one year down the line they finally throw you a bone. The moment you start forking over your money for a service that you're not happy with, the company has the green light to keep doing what they're doing, and will suck you dry.
