If you're tech savy, you'll need to replace the laser. You can follow a walk through to replace it and find a place to buy the parts you need.

According to some other posters here, they replaced their optic lasers without a problem.

Either try and fix it yourself (brilliant videos on youtube about it) or just buy a brand new PS3.

If you do choose to fix it yourself, just remember that it's never a permanent fix and it's bound to break down again.
