Many games on the list are waiting for patches allowing rumble support. HS and Warhawk are2 of those... CoD 4 is not, and won't support rumble... unless IW cares enough to put it in. Most, if not, all games being released after November '07 will support it. Of the big names out now... Uncharted, Resistance, AC, Ratchet, and Motorstorm support it... for sure.

And the MAJORITY OF THEM DO NOT SUPPORT RUMBLE....2.00 simply allows the PS3 to detect the rumble controllers...
Right now only a few games actually support and have rumble in them...
I have one question, how is the so called "Realism" that you people want it for? does your hands shake like in real life when you get blasted by a nuke? or does the hands shake when someone chop your head off (exactly like in real life) .. or when you get run over by a sherman tank, does your hands shake? since "realism" is what you guys call rumble. that must mean that the right effect of getting blow to pieces by a nuke only makes your hands shake. right?zeforgotten

The controller physically only weighs more, nothing in regards to feel or size have changed, and no the controller, unless it requires specific code for it, does not support touchsense...The whole controller shakes.
yea i read that the DS3 was supposed to have new tech in it from Immersion that gives you a "surround" shake effect and uses different rumble effects other than standard vibration. I think i read someone describe it as "when you shoot a gun in RFoM, just the top near the r1 button rumbles, and when you take fall damage the bottom half of the controller shakes". So can you test it out maybe? see if it rumbles in different ways than the standard full controller rumble? The old DS2 would rumble the same just at different speeds, see if the new one has a sort of "directional" effect.

I have tested 29 games, and I have yet to feel any localized rumble, not in resistance, not in uncharted, not in ratchet and clank...
Also note that only a few games actually support it, I have no idea where WiiFreak is getting his list from but out of the 29 games I own only 5 actually support it, I havent gotten a chance to test the retail version of Folklore, and only the demo of Blazing angles II and GT: Proluge support DS3
I think the rumble is about the same as the DualShock 2. I bought it off of JapanVideoGames.com and I paid $80. I didnt really recognize the rumble in different spots. I will have to play with it more.WiiFreak77
Wow, I bought it off the same place you did, but I paid only 55.00 fot since I pre-ordered it around a month ago. Ive tested it out with Ratchet and with Uncharted. Both games rumble :]
Just got my Dual Shock 3 in the mail yesterday and I must say it was well worth the extra money... Paid $75 with shipping from Japan. The weight of the controller is finally right and the vibration is perfect. can't wait till they come out in Feb so I can buy 1 more.

i've seen alot of people say they want it for realism. and i think that sounds stupid. but that's just imo, and i never actually used it, the story is what immers me to a game, not my hands going crazy on me. :lol:

Someone mentioned in another thread that it ias a tad bigger, but I'm calling BS on that one. I know it is definitely heavier. I should get mine in sometime this coming week.
It is the same size. Only more heavy. I was just playing Motorstorm and there was no rumble, bummer, but I did play the GT5 Prologue and it rumbles all of the time.

I suggest you make a *** account and download this. The graphics are stunning and the rumble is great. The only thing I dont like is that when you hit a wall, no damage. Oh ya, it is only a demo of the Prologue which is the demo for the real game. The Prologue hasnt been released yet.
