I haven't seen much talk on Far Cry 2

I'm suprised at how little hype this game has gotten since I first heard of it a long while back. I personally think the game is going to be amazing in both single and mltiplayer aspects. The story is supposed to take around 50 hours which i have to say is a long time for an FPS by today's standards. Plus the multiplayer has huge maps, a map editor making limitless options for multiplayer madness as well and seemingly good firefights(from what videos I have seen)

For those who are as excited about this game as I am, what is it that you're looking forward to about this game, and what is or isn't compelling you to buy this game over other new releases around that time?

I wanna hear everyone's opinions :)

From what I have seen the console versions don't seem to be living up to the hype and the multiplayer except for the create a map features looks like it pales in comparison to CoD 4. I hope it does turn out alright though as I have this game pre ordered.

While I respect your opinion, I can't take that answer really seriously, mostly because people need to start realizing that even though COD4 was good, it wasn't THAT good, it got boring after a few months for me, seeing the same old maps over and over, and even the new maps didn't fix that problem much for me

Plus you need to consider the single player elements, which in my opinion will destroy COD4's story in everyway, total freedom of choice, much longer, overall more playability

Yeah I was thinking this. I was reading about Far Cry 2 last night and it really looks impressive. At the very, very least I'm expecting a simple, fun shoot 'em up.
