yes,its truly worth it!you know,I was saving up a whole year and more,and when I got It,I was flying on the 7th heaven!I couldnt uderstand it for 1-2 days!I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy!
You were wise to get the 60Gb version, its the best, also make sure you add Resistance to your collection, you won't be sorry. I have only one controller only because i'm waiting for Dualshock 3 and since I game alone I don't need another right now.

Assassins Creed, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (haven't played it, but heard it was awesome), Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Guitar Hero 3: Legends Of Rock, Rock Band, and Warhawk are all amazing games to buy. Good choice with Heavenly Sword.
I'll Probably get flamed for this, but Resistance isn't all that great, to me at least. COD4 is 20 times better in my opinion. If you can only choose one shooter, I suggest COD4. Resistance is overrated.

Heavenly Sword was a fantastic choice, but make sure to check out Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank Future, Warhawk, Resistance, Motorstorm, Oblivion: GOTY edition and soon, Unreal Tournament III.
Congratulations. Good games to get started on would be Resistance, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Ratchet & Clank, and much more.

Resistance is better for single player, CoD4 is better for multiplayer.
Uncharted is the best game available on any system. Also get Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, Resistance, Motorstormand Heavenly Sword. Lair is at least a great rental just to be amazed by the graphics if nothing else, and for most people, the controls are fun and easily learned.
