wrong! i have a panasonic viera plasma 42" and its 600hz and i have no input lag on battlefield 3 for my ps3.btw add me on psn-DJaykillerbiggerdjam
600hz? I'm talking about resolution. I have given this tip to every PS3 player I have played with on BF3, and they have loved me to death ever since. So yes, you have it too, unless you just love the game too much or simply don't know what input lag is.
I never liked sniper on any fps, but I don't think this one is different from the others I've played.
If you use any of the automatic rifledon't camp with it. Put on a lower scope (4x, 3.4, red dot) or run with no scope at all and just run around mid range for kills. Long distance is only for bolt action and even then you will get hitmarkers often.
Get the SOFLAM and a buddy with a javelin and you can call it the heli-hunter-class. The recon class is the most tactical out of all classes. Placing spawn points, marking airborn enemies, uncovering enemy ambushes... a good recon player can change the whole battle to an easy victory for his team and collect decent points in the process. If you are just out for the kills I recommend that you play support class or change your game to a certain arena-based online shooter. Reptylus
I disagree with it being the most tacticle class, but I will admit that their intelligence gathering can be pretty handy. The MAV is a godsend, and the SOFLAM definitely has some advantages. I hardly ever see anyone using Spawn Beacons though.
the sniper is fine as is. you guys need better aim, or pick another class. if you want one-hit-kills, go play killzone 3 or modern warfare 3. there's no way in the wolrd someone should be able to dominate a game while camping 5 miles from the action and objectives. i hate having sniper teammates. it's just a handicap, because they're a waste of space. and to the guy bragging about his tv and kdr being 2.0 as a sniper, i'm not impressed. i'm sitting at a 3.0 as an engineer.
my tv is 1080p and I EXPERIANCE NO INPUT LAG! i didnt spend $$ on a HD TELIVISION to play my ps3 and xbox 360 in SD...biggerdjamSo your PS3 is somehow superior? I've seen plenty of people claiming they don't have input lag, then they release a youtube video where you clearly see that the input lag is as bad as everyone else's.
Since most people play recon as a sniper they can't use it well. It's difficult to set a spawn beacon effectively when you are staying away from the battlefield. For us frontline recons though the beacon is the best friend. It can be pretty overwhelming when your squad can spawn behind the enemy lines. That's why I say the recon class is the most tactical class: They are absolutely inferior to all other classes if the play aggressively. Finding a way to attack the enemy from an unsuspected direction is their best asset. And for that it is essential to know when is the right time to attack instead of just shooting at everyone on sight. The recon class is not Serious Sam - it's Sam Fisher.I hardly ever see anyone using Spawn Beacons though.

I think it's when the TV tries to upscale it is when the lag happens. *shrug* I dunno. anyway, as for the sniper, I just went on after making that post, and i got a few kills with the MAV :D inconsistent, to be sure, but it can happen :P[QUOTE="biggerdjam"]my tv is 1080p and I EXPERIANCE NO INPUT LAG! i didnt spend $$ on a HD TELIVISION to play my ps3 and xbox 360 in SD...araksik
It is very hard to snipe in this game. The first rifle sucks I agree. The SV98 is good, I have two service stars with it. You have to be able to compensate for bullet drop and you have to get a head shot or two really fast body shots. Something I also do is prey on a battle between two people and take a kill because they are already weak. It is by no means easy to snipe in this game. Get the SV98 and once you get the pull bolt it is pretty good. The same goes for the M4. If you are having trouble with judging the distance then get a different scope. I love the ballastic scope because it has clear lines and they are easy to judge with. One way you can get a good judge on distance is when you get SV98 (I don't know about anything before that rife) it has tracers so you can actually see the bullet drop. When you see the bullet hit the wall or ground that you are aiming you should be able to adjust up or down according to that.
You can't just pick up the rifles and go you have to be calm and learn how to do it. I just got the M98B and I love it, the bullet drop is low (it doesn't drop very much) and it has low recoil.
Recon is good, snipers are bad.hgasf006
Just because you aren't good with the snipers doesn't mean that they are bad. It takes time to get good with them. If you aren't pateint then don't pick recon. when I use my recon I snipe and spot people and I get mad spot bonus points. BF is not COD. Each class has different main weapons and gadgets so that when you pick that class you have to play differently. If you just pick a class then go run and gun your going to die (if you run and gun period you might die) You have to know what each class is good at and play that way. I play each class differently and I change the equipment in my class for almost each map as well. You have to know what your doing you can't just jump it and expect it to be easy.

*ahem* He said Snipers are bad. not sniper rifles. Snipers that sit way back and don't do anything, going 3-3 for the whole match. they are usless. I know I feel useless when I do that. Unless I actually get a decent number of kills. But honestly, if you're winning, then that sniper is probably not hurting anything. Worst case, he's providing a more valuable/easy target than your hide for all the enemy snipers. at least for each minute he's alive.[QUOTE="JasonDarksavior"]L96 is a beast. 0rinI thought so too, then I unlocked the M98B. The B *stands* for Beast, I swear. :P thing is awesome.
I assumed what he meant and what he said could be taken either way. I also completly agree with you with people who sit back and snipe but don't get any kills and hold the team back. I only snipe on maps where I know that I can get a good amount of kills and help out the team. I'm not then I just change class and get into it.
I quoted this message instead of the other because I also love the M98B, it is just awesome. The first match that I got to use it I got the ballaistic and laser light in the same match. That gun is almost unstoppable.
