I am a owner of an X-box 360 and While X-box live is great, I'm still waiting to get my X-box back. My friend is selling a 60 gig for a fair price. I would like to Know what's the difference between a 60 gid and an 80 gig besides the memory. I would also would like to know that an HDMI cable can do what a component cable can do. Also I onlo have a 30 incl LCD VIZIO.

from what i know, the only difference is that the 60 gb has the emotion engine which pretty much is backwards compatible with like 99% ofps2 and ps1 games. and the 80 gb is backwards compatible with about 80-85%.

The 60GB is the best out of all the PS3 SKUS. You get all the flash memory card readers, the built-in WiFi, four USB ports, and the Emotion Engine that runs 98% of all PS2/PS1 games. The 80GB settles for a lesser BC engine yet contains the rest, though more storage. Yet storage shouldn't be a deciding factor, you can buy a new HDD, one larger than the 80GB for any of the SKUs.
