hi everyone

I'm playing FF13 right now, and i'm at chapter 7, at the beginning with snow. Until now i haven't upgraded none of the weapons, but i've read that chapter 7 is good to start.

i need some advices from ppl that have played the game, hopefully the ones that had finished it.

which is the best, for example for lightning, omega weapon with quick stagger or the one with 750 magic/attack?

from the previous answer, which is the best weapon for each character?

which end game party would be the best?

from which accessory should i start upgrading?

exactly at what point of chapter 7 it's good to farm, which materials with which enemies.

thanks

Its been a while since i beat it, and i had alot of toruble myself on choosing a weapon. But heres a site that can explain alot,

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_XIII_Weapons

You can't get Trapezohedrons till you get to Pulse, and even then you wont be strong enough to kill the enemy that drops it, which are super hard, and don't always drop it. You prolly can't beat them till the very end game or after the main story when you get a huge stat boost. I wouldn't go for the Ultima weapons unless you really want to play this game after you beat the game. With Lightning i had got the Helter Skelter kuz it looked like it had the most Phys Damage, but i could have sworn there was something better.

Now where your at i dont remember you really needing to upgrade your weapons. Honestly, i didnt upgrade my weapons, any, at all, untill the end of chapter 10 because my freind told me to wait, turns out he just wanted the game to give me a challenge, whenever you decide to it makes the game dramatically easier. One thing that makes it some what difficult is getting gil to upgrade your weapon. But you get plenty when you get to chapter 11. All in all bro, you really dont NEED to upgrade your weapons at all, prolly till you get to chapter 10, which will make that chapter insanely easier than it was for me im sure. Then again, theres no reason to wait either, so look at the chart and choose a weapon best for your chaarcters. Hope i somewhat answered something you asked lol

I actually just started FF13 trying to upgrade weapons and stuff. I also heard that you should wait until Ch. 11 to begin upgrading because you can actually earn money, and buy more materials. And would also have more weapons.

So what I did, was I upgraded the Lionheart, I haven't completely upgraded it yet, because there is one component which cost 2million Gil, and I only have 1 so I don't want to waste it. But there is apparently a way to get more, by dismantling the Nirvana, which I tried but it didn't work. So I guess it has to be the highest level?

Anyways, for Lightning I upgraded the Lionheart, it has about 500 atk 500 mag, and it attacks faster then her other weapons I think.

As for your team, I had Vanille, Light, and Snow, all the way up to about Ch. 12, or 13, then I switched because everyone says Hope, Light, Fang, is the best trio. So I used them to beat the game.

BTW, I did not upgrade any of my weapons until I beat the game, so if I were you, I would wait until Ch. 11 at least, because if I can beat the game with no upgraded weapons, you can definitely do it. Also as for accesories, I only upgraded the ones that give you more life, or more Mag/Attk. But by the end of the game, the HP giving accesories are pretty useless because you can upgrade one HP crystogen thing, to get more HP then you would with any accesory lol.

I don't know much about upgrading sorry, but if you go to the FF13 board, there is a Weapons Guide, which I used a little. Good Luck, also, if you do want to upgrade accesories, try the ones that give you resistence to atk and magic. I think there are some that give 5, 10, 15% resistence to Physical and Magical damage.

I have no idea for which weapons to level up. But it really depends on what you use each character as.

I use Hope as a healer, he also has higher magic then Vanille.

But Vanille can also use the Healer's staff which ups healing. I would use Hope though because he has higher magic.

i managed to finish the game with only 2nd tier weapons with ease for my set up which i used in the later part of the game was lightning, fang and hope. give lightining the quick stagger weapon. for fang use the stagger lock weapon that will boost her dmg very well since she got no ravager class. give hope anything u find good i just use him for raising the stagger in high hp times or syncing.and in danger time he can be a superior healer just remember to use pardigim change all the battle (will not that much i think u get it). for tactics use: rav, com, rav for building dmg rav, com, med for high dmg capabilities enemy med, sen, med for patching ur wounds fill the other tactics with anything u prefer or good for ur next enemies. sry cant remember the game quiet well and my eng sux. hope i helped

Yes you can keep playing after the Final Boss and get all trophies, you can also beat the final boss as many times as you please. Your crystarium level goes up after the final boss.

You might wanna look at this guide, http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/final-fantasy-xiii/42786-treasure-hunter-missable-trophy-guide.html. It explains which accessories are missable for the treasure hunter trophy. It's the Elemental Rings and the Charms that can be missable if you didn't pick them up or sold them at some point. Also if you're even attempting treasure hunter then you might wanna hunt down an weapon/accessory check list.

I wouldn't bother grinding until you finish the game. I cleared the games without grinding for CP and the most I upgraded their weapons (only 2 of them, fang, light) was about lv8 of the first tier. Boss was easy peasy

Even if you were to max out the Crystarium right now, you wouldn't stand a chance.

Depends, if I recall you need a genji glove for the highwind method. What I did until then was I just used Bahamut which kills the legs straight away, put slow, imperil, deprotect, deshell(make sure slow is first, though) on the head and then gestalted so the summon would disappear, and killed the head(Use ravagers until the chain percent is pretty high, then swap to com's). You'll probably need buffs to kill the head without requiring to summon again, so buff faith/brave at the stand of the battle. After each battle, just fight the guards around the Adamantoise spot in Eden to restore TP, save, reload and the adamantoise will be back. To put it simply, the highwind method requires you to stagger the legs up to 400/500% and then use Highwind with Fang which should insakill the leg permitting your strength is high enough. Do that for each leg and the head will fall. Put Slow/Impril/Deprotect/Deshell on the head, and kill away like the above method.

(Note - Someone might want to add to this, I got my plat a year ago, so my memory isnt great)

i found some guides about it, and choose the highwind strategy since i dont like too much vanille and my main team with upgraded weps and acc its hope/light and fang. now those big turtles are easy targets for me, now im on the way to tier3 weps.
