Well, i payed $600 and i can honestly say it is the greatest investment i have ever bought. Whether it is the plethora of hours I have spent gaming, the blu-ray player, the tool utilized to display pictures and video files through an HD medium (thus, utilizing my TV), the music player, the friends i have made over the network, and just the general amount of "fun" and experiences i had with the system, i do not regret my decision at all. In fact, i don't know what i'd do without it..
if you bought a secondary system just to play a couple exclusives it's always kind of a waste of money. i feel the same with my 360 right now because i only buy some exclusives on it, the last one was shadow complex, it's been almost a year without really playing my 360. i would have sold it if there wasnt gears of war 3 coming, i hate epic for making it exclusive.
There are so many great games on the system. Some of the best games I've played have only been on the Playstation; Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Valkyria Chronicles, MAG, Disgaea 3, and Infamous. And what I like is that they're all so different from eachother, not just rehashed sequels with minor upgrades.
No I mainly use the PS3 out of all the systems I have I rarely use the 360 or Wii. The only thing I regret are some of the games I've bought in the past.
My ps3 was a wonderful purchase and have never regretted buying it.. however I have sold a few games from the ps3 out of boredom (like borderlands, MAG).
Overall though its well worth it to have it. I don't like halo, and I don't like gears of war so really I'm not missing out on anything. In fact the 4 games I have are ps3 exclusive and I play them often... especially LBP.
If you don't like all the ps3 exclusives... buy multi-plat games? lol
its the only way i could play blazblue in europe since last year. (europe victims that are region locked were just pwnd..) and this is year it'll be time for continuum shift. awesome. i enjoy my ps3 a lot.
Not even in the slightest. By far the best console this gen and it has not only many great games, but a few that are just stellar and at times blow your mind.
No sir. Still love it hard. You should try and open your eyes, play all the great games that this console can offer, there are so much games out there (exclusives or not)
I don't know what to tell you. The PS3 has had a lot of games come out in the past 8 months and even before then. Demon's souls, Ratchet and Clank, Yakuza 3 , 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Modnation Racers are pretty good. Valkyria Chronicles and Motorstorm are fun. Games off the PS store like Trine, Shatter, Zen Pinball, and Magic Orbz are fun. If there weren't a lot of games that interest you in the first place, Why did you get the system?
I got mine free with a phone contract. I already had an xbox 360, but I have to say I now couldn't live without my PS3. Only got 2 games at the moment, but just for the fact it's a bluray player, streams stuff from my laptop, and is quieter than my dvd player was, I love it! And with Red Dead Redemption coming out on friday, I can't wait to get more use out of my PS3! I haven't actually played much on it yet games wise, but I'm always watching blurays or dvd's whilst playing my DS (which for some reason I'm addicted to at the moment) Once RDR comes out, the DS will be redundant :)
I was in the same shoes as you not that long ago. I found it boring and collecting dust. But I've got back into it with PoP and with 3D Dot Heroes around the corner, it's gonna keep me entertained for awhile.
I just bought my PS3 two months ago, but I was really smart about it. I didn't make the actual plunge until I knew I had at least a handful of games in mind that I either wanted to buy right away or that I'd wait to come out. Four of those happened to be exclusives; I've had to wait for one of them to come out. The other four had already been out for some time. Anyway, my point is, right off the bat, I had plenty of games to play to make the $300 investment worth every penny.
i used to. but really i think its just because your bored, just look around for more games. i love my ps3 now! mostly for red faction guerilla, which is also for 360, but i dont have to pay to play online!
I haven't regretted my choice buying a PS3. I only bought it recently as I am mainly a PC player, but out of the games I bought and played so far, I've found quality entertainment out of it. As long as good games come out for the PS3, I don't think I will be stopping any time soon.
Not at all, the PS3 is the best DVD player I've ever owned, has such a great crisp playback of DVD's (seems to be much better than the 360's playback on my tv). Top that off with the Bluray player and some sweet games and it's definitely worth it to me. A $300 investment isn't that hard to chew.
Come on man, Red Dead Redemption is about to come out, how the **** can you regret the PS3 when one of the best games of the year is only 1 day away?!

And if it actually is true then you'd think that if you were to buy something expensive you would make sure that it's going to be used. If I were to buy, like an XBOX360 I'd make sure to get myself a nice and long list of games before purchasing. Of course, it's a whole other story if he didn't actually buy it...
