I treat it like a baby and it still dies...

I've had my PS3 since December 27 2007, Over the duration of months until December 21 2008 my PS3 dies again for the FOURTH time. it's an 80GB Motorstorm ps3 heres the errors:

1. Got Corrupted accidently turned PS3 off while saving

2. Disk Drive Error ( PS3 doesn't read disks)

3. YLOD

4. Bricked. Has no power in it anymore just suddenly died.

I take extremely good care of my PS3 I leave it in 1 spot, turn it off when i'm not using it, wipe it with a cloth when dusty, protect it from the sun.

I even have a piece of wood under it so it wouldn't damage the carpet.

What I'm I doing wrong It keeps dying any tips you have for my PS3 when I get it back from Sony? Will I get the same one or a refurbished model?

could changed hard-drive for the both of them.......

unless for the second one you mean Blu-Ray disk drive......

Anyway, sorry to hear about it. My 60GB I bought in January is still running like a champ.

1 - make sure its in a open area (not in a entertainment shelf that has openings only in the back and front).
2 - set it to where a lot of air can get to and around it. (keep it in areas to where it can breathe)
3 - make sure the temp in the house isnt too warm.
4 - the piece of wood could be warming up causing more heat.
5 - dont just dust the PS3, dust areas and might as well the whole room while your at it.
6 - try not to constantly play games or watch movies on it.

lol ment that is in take a break every now and then. you shouldnt be playing games for 10 hours straight anyways.
