I liked da original Def Jams, but dis new one is okay.
Pros:
It's graphically way better (of course)
More fighters
Good songs if you like Hip Hop and Rap
No health bars so it's more realistic
DJ controls are fun to play with
Story is good
Cons:
DJ Controls are fun, but are also wierd at first and can feel old after a while
Slow
Odd controls takes time to get used to
Basic fighting system all you really do is throw your opponent into hazards, only 4 different take downs, blazing mode is different.
No import songs for PS3 version (but if your into Hiphop and Rap you won't need to)
EDIT: If you like the old Def Jam this one is definately a change, maybe not the greatest but it's not so bad it just gets bland after a while considering there are less moves and most of the time your just getting your opponent into hazards to use DJ Controls to blow him away or knocking him on the ground to use DJ controls to change the song. I'd personally give this game a 7.8 and you should rent it before you buy.
