Keep practicing, most of the time, you won't be able to jump into an online game and immediately start owning. Practice, and then you'll get used to it, not to mention get more familiar with the maps, and then you should be fine.

Try finishing the campaign first....I was new to COD so I decided before going online just play the campaign and I thought it really helped me out...

like the others have said before me, practice, meditate (haha), and finish campaign (at least on normal). When you want to start playing online for real just make a private match with bots and set their difficulty up and go at it. I was the same way, I got my ass handed to me the first couple matches, now I'm doing average to awesome online. Also, avoided ranked, pure servers if your worried about ruining your leaderboard stats early on (they have a small unreal logo by where it says if the server supports a mouse and keyboard). Good luck!

PSN: The_Panman (I play new maps and mods!)
