and if that happens, then sony's new mascot would be this

Price Drop; Go out and buy a PS3. I have waited to get a Blu-Ray player, but I finally got an HDTV and need a good Blu-Ray. This would give me the excuse I need to get a PS3. Most players are still $400 so why not get a PS3 and enjoy games too? Plus with the internet connection I can upgrade the player.
For $300 I would go out and get one in a heartbeat. $350 still think about it but probably still get one.
If Sony announces they are going to make an announcement in July on March 31st, I would go round Sony headquarters and hit them.
I just hope they announce they're pulling the plug on the trophies and admit it was a failure.Evildude683And it is a failure how? Every game coming out now has them...
I just hope they announce they're pulling the plug on the trophies and admit it was a failure.Evildude683LOL.Not going to happen.I am not a huge trophy fan but it is not a failure.TONS of people enjoy unlocking them,if anything pulling trophies would probably make people very, very angry.Which is the last thing Sony needs right now.

If Sony shows a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 on March 31st, I would crap myself in ecstacy.
I would going on a kitten killing spreee if that happens.
The hell you ain't.You ain't going to be killing any kittens,no matter what they announce.YAY! MADLIBS!
Anyway, if Sony announces...
- Yakuza Kenzan! for the NA region
- Yakuza 3 for the NA region
- Way of the Samurai 3 for the NA region
- A PS3 Katamari Damacy game for the NA region
- Fallout 3 and / or GTA4 DLC coming to PS3
- A new Ape Escape game
- Dark Cloud 3
- Final Fantasy VII remake
- Downloadable PSP games now playable on PS3
- A hostile takeover of Nintendo
- The new update will allow the PS3 to print valid currency.
...I would be happy.
If Sony announces...
- We have to pay for online
- Folding At Home has actually been fundingUwe Boll's film projectsinstead of cancer research
...I would be displeased.
[QUOTE="chathuranga"]If Sony announces a release date for Gran Turismo 5 on March 31st, I would be happy.Denji
It could be GT5. I completely forgot about that game lol
I would be happy if they finally gave a date
aw man, if Kingdom hearts comes out with all the new characters like sackboy and kratos and stuff, argh! it'd be awesome. Even the enemy in it should have the thing from Resistence 2. Forgotten its name already, says alot about the characters in that game, tirralirrawhat? that would be completely unrelated to KH and make no sense :?
A PSP2, i would j1zz.... in... my.. pants... I noticed some of u did the joke before (from the song). And i would want a PSP2 because i was thinkin about gettin a PSPbut then i heard of a PSP2 might come out.
Jakesta7
If this were about a month or so ago before they announced all those new games coming out for the PSP, I would have thought that would have been a very definite possibility.
1. Announces Legend of Dragoon 2 (would be best game ever) and Jak 4
2. Downloadable ps2 and ps1 games by playstation network
3. Can use psp as ps3 controller
I Would I Run acrosses the world in my boxer's in under an hour
2. Downloadable ps2 and ps1 games by playstation network
Iron_Eye18
You can already download PS1 games. PS2 is almost certainly out of the question, since newer models wouldn't be able to play them!
If Sony announces a remake of tomba on march 31st, I would pee in my pants (darn too late) No JK. But if Sony announces MGS5 on march 31st, I would play 1-4 all over again including vr missions, substance and subsistance.
If Sony announces that they will be making me CEO of the company on March 31st, I would cream my pants 31 times simultaneously.
If Sony announces KH3 for PS3 only on March 31st, I would be really happy.
If Sony announces the next PSP system or a new PS3/PSP update with a lot of good stuff in it on March 31st, I would honorably cream in my pants twice for each announcement.
[QUOTE="thinner6"]
If Sony announces downloadable PS2 games via PSN on March 31st, I would go crazy and buy GOW1 and GOW2.
The PS1 games play because your PS3 can still play PS1 games. With PS2 support out of the new models, it won't be possible.
Actually sony could release a HUGH patch (about 5 or so gig) that could allow PS2 downloads but I was one of those who jumped on a PS3 before they went the way of no PS2.Actually sony could release a HUGH patch (about 5 or so gig) that could allow PS2 downloads but I was one of those who jumped on a PS3 before they went the way of no PS2.TheAcejoel99
A patch wouldn't reincorporate the physical Graphics Synthesizer GPU that, by all indications, cannot be substituted in software.
[QUOTE="BCLEVER"]Sigh.....Why. Edit your post or you could get in trouble too, and you don't deserve to!IF SONY ANNOUNCES MODERN WARFARE 2 AS AN EXCLUSIVE TITLE

If sony reveals a Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer, I, too, will crap myself in ecstasy. If Sony announces a FW update with PS2 b/c, I will jump out of my seat, spin in a circle, then trip and fall, probably on my PS3, because that would be totally ironic. If Sony announces a fw update with some other cool features but no b/c, but updates the ingame music so it actually WORKS like the 360, I will smile and yet out a satisfactory "w00t!" If Sony announces a b/c with some other changes but not either of the two above mentioned things, I will let out a content "meh". If Sony announces a PS2 or PS3 price cut, I will not care at all and be disappointed because I already have a PS2 and PS3, but will golf clap for those who would now be able to afford one, and congratulate them on their future systems. If Sony shows a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 on March 31st, I would crap myself in ecstacy.

Whatever sony announces i will cut my dck off
lmao, have fun cleanin' up more like: have fun standing upo.O maybe its a patch for PS Home?

3. firmware 2.70

Ps2 games can easily be played on ps3s without the emu chip, but it would require a emulation wrapper written for each game, which is exactly what microsoft does. Its not that it isn't possible, its just that they can't do a blanket software emu. They can easily put 5-10 of the most popular Sony PS2 games on PSN. I promise that once the PS2 is officially off the shelves, it won't be long before Sony does it. The PS3 has plenty of power to do it all in software.
LMFAO edited post wont do this any justiceIF SONY ANNOUNCES MODERN WARFARE 2 AS AN EXCLUSIVE TITLE BCLEVER

I wasn't talking about the Emotion Engine. That's the CPU. The old 80GBs could emulate that. But they still needed a physical Graphics Synthesizer GPU.
The 360 has an advantage in that its basic architecture is still somewhat similar to the original Xbox. Compared to that, the PS2 and PS3 are apples and oranges. (Or maybe even apples and cucumbers.)

Your post is absolutely correct only in regards to blanket emulation. I.e. all PS2 games. This is not a apples and oranges sitution. Its simply a matter of writing the right software for the job. For example, they can develop a wrapper (emulator) that can play xbox games on yoru ps3 with no problem. We have been playing Ps1 and Ps2 games on our pcs for years through emulation. They have not been perfect emulatiors though because they were written by fans and were free. Since Sony has access to source code, making the emulator easy to write, albeit time consuming sometimes, but thats why they have full time programmers.. :) Anyone who believes that a piece of missing hardware can prevent an older game from being played really hasn't been around computers that long.
Remember that the PS3 emulates PS1 games with no problems, even though it doesnt have the ps1 hardware (which was required in the earlier ps2 models for emulation and later removed in the slimline models and replaced with full software emulation). As long as you have the processing power, you can do anything in software. The PS3 has plenty for this job. Sony won't admit being able to do it right now because of 2 reasons- 1) They are still selling PS2s (they wanted to charge extra for the emulation), and 2) they don't want to cause a rift between those that paid high prices for the emulation and the people that didn't. But as I said before, once some time passes they will release PS2 games on PSN. Last year the Sony CEO had said they were looking into bringing PS2 games to PSN, but they didn't havea time table. It would be easy money.
