Ewww to both, but 13 over Rain for nostalgia sake. The best choice would be Bioshock 2.

[QUOTE="Texas2089"][QUOTE="juden41"]Not either, probably. I don't really care about the gameplay in heavy rain, it sounds kind of limited, and Final Fantasy has been disappointing lately, since FF12.juden41

Yes because there have been sooooo many FF games since XII.....

What I meant was, FF12 and the long release time is kind of killing it for me. Plus, the trailors aren't looking especially appealling. (good, but not Final Fantasy good)

Of course, I'll rent it and try it out, that would be foolish not to, I just don't feel as excited for this as some people are.

I have to disagree with you there. All the trailers I've seen SCREAM FF to me. I think the game looks amazing. And I guess I see what you mean about the long wait killing your excitement, but for me its the opposite. The longer I wait the more I'm looking forward to it.

Caprellid,

Next time in the future, you should make a poll for these type of topics. Makes it a bit easier.

Anyways, I pick Final Fantasy XIII since I'm certain I know I'll get my $60 worth out of it. I'm still interested in Heavy Rain but not worth $60 to me. I'll wait when there's a price drop. I know Heavy Rain is innovative and a unique concept but Final Fantasy games have never steered me wrong and I always feel I got my money's worth even after I've beaten the game since you can always go back and explore the world.

rent heavy rain for sure, i bet its a weekend game with not much replayability, except u know for the nudity which im sure many little teenie boys will be playing into the wee hours of the night, i mean its not like baywatch is still on or anything :D i played the first game by those heavy guys, indigo prophecy, and that was awesome game, super fun and great story with awesome history and truth behind it. but i havent played it since, not really much else i can do personally I would just wait for badcompany 2 or red dead redemption lol, never really got into FF

I find it funny that some of the same people who don't like JRPGs because it's story driven are going to play Heavy Rain BECAUSE it's story driven. Ah, irony.

I'll wait until they come out and do some research - then make up my mind. Both look like they could be great...or not.

Final fantasy hands down! The going rate for a movie ticket is $12.50. So I would not pay more than $12.50 for heavy rain

Final Fantasy 13 does look like Final Fantasy, yes, it looks like it's a well-polished game, I'm just personally not excited for it, or Heavy Rain.

I will rent both at some point to play them, for sure, I'm just not 'stoked' as one might call it.

When I said "not either," I meant there are other games being released around the same time that I'm excited for more, as in these two games are not the pinnachle of my gaming experience at this time.

Heavy Rain. FF13 just looks so unappealing to me, especially after I couldn't stand 12.

I'm still confused as to what you're saying. You said it looks "good, but not Final Fantasy good", but then in your next post you said it does look like Final Fantasy. If you're not excited for it that's obviously your personal opinion, but I'm just trying to figure out what you're trying to say.

right now Demon's souls, Dragon Age, Valkyria Chronicles, Oblivion and Folklore have my RPG needs satisfied. I'd go with Heavy Rain since it offers a completely different experience and a more mature plot than FFXIII will.
