If you didn't buy the Ultimate Edition, you're really not missng out on anything

I just picked up my Ultimate Edition and boy am I disappointed. It looks NOTHING like the photos and images advertised. I'm not complaining so much because the Dominus Skin, Art book, and the game itself are totally worth $100.00 alone. The quality of Pandora's box is that of a toy you'd buy from the Chinatown or Downtown district. Consisted of pure plastic, with poor detail, and a whacky paint job. On top of that, this thing is small! This is suppose to be Pandora's Box. It should look formidable, if not in size, at least in detail and quality. If you didn't buy the ultimate edition, you're not missing out on anything at all.. This is just plain pathetic. Of course, the game is what you're really after. Overall, this game is sick.Epic.End rant. haha.

im dissapointed in the box luckily i didn't pay more than 80 dollars for the UE, and I really just wanted it for the art book and the music... so that works for me.bpw8

Well i am glad i didnt pay 100 for it. There just wasnt enough reason for me to fork out that kind of cash for stuff like that, when all i wanted was that game and thats what i got and im a so happy its out now.

How big and heavy do think it should be? Enough to restrict how many can fit on store shelves?Large_Soda

oh... i thoguht the box holded thegame inside it.. it's smaller then that. thats kind of lame

Special/Ultimate/Collector/Whatever Editions are almost always a complete waste of money. Just a clever way for publishers to bleed some extra money out of die-hard fans who can't resist the idea of the 'perfect' version of a game they really want. My local Gamestop still has "special" editions of Halo 3 (with the stupid helmet) and the Lunchbox edition of Fallout 3 on the shelves.

This goes double for a game like God of War, which is good riotous fun, but not exactly a keepsake memento you're going to decorate your den with.

The art book is really nice but i know what you mean about Pandoras box. And i cant get the www.godofwar.com/music website to load to even download my songs

Nah squirt, I'm not being sarcastic, I actually want to know how big you think the box should be. There are so many massive boxes on store shelves, with Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero and other Collector's Editions, so how are retailers supposed to deal with yet ANOTHER huge box? You harped about Pandora's Box being really small and my response was what I believe to be the answer to said harping. I'd also wager that the $100 price point was a factor, any larger and the price wouild be higher.

You claim we're not missing out on anything, but then you claim it's worth it. Anyway, I'm picking mine up tomorrow since the store here is getting them a day late, but I mainly got this edition for the music. I love the music in God of War, and the heavy metal tracks especially have me excited. I've still got the guitar hero's End Begins (to rock) on my mp3 player and love it. Add the art book and such and the extra 40 bucks are more than justified.

I'm going to buy the normal edition

I love GOW; been playing them since day 1.
But I passed on the UE because GOW(amazing as it is) can be beatensenseless within a week and stored into the collection forever.
I only get UE's for lengthy RPG's and the odd shooter like MW2. Games I'll play for a long timein other words.
