IF YOU HAD $60 TO BUY gta 4 or saints row 2

like if they had the same release date

which one would you get first

i get what you saying though i have every gta game since gta for playstation

and it is realy hard to make a game like that without being considered a "gta clone"

Saints Row was a good game and I will purchase Saints Row 2, but GTA is the king of the genre.

Probably because Saints Row, despite being pretty and having some nice touches, was nowhere near the involvement level of GTA: San Andreas. Nice selection of vehicles, good shooting controls and all, but sandbox games are supposed to be gigantic playgrounds where you can keep surprising yourself with stuff you can do, and Saints Row was stuck back in 2001 with GTA3 in that respect.You drive around, you run around, you shoot people, and you have those respect mid-missions. Fun. Pretty. But you're not going to be surprised by a single thing after about fifteen minutes of playing.

yea gta got pretty good games , but Saint's Row is better then any gta games as of now ...When gta4 comes out then we can talk , but i'll bet you that saints row 2 is gonna be better by far

i beg to differ....San Andreas is way better than saints row I think Saints row is on the scale with maybe Vice City, but San Andreas is definately better than Saints Row.

But it happens alot. i've actually only met .. well around 4 people on the Gamespot forums who could actually give a reason for them liking one game over another. but mostly it's people going "omg! *game* rocks!!" ... "why?" ... "it' does because it does!! woo i'm so cool" etc etc. pathethic when you think about it. but nothing that's gonna kill us in the end

This is banking on stuff that is simply speculation. If you had claimed the first Saints Row was going to compete with San Andreas, you'd have been wrong. It was GTA3 at best. How do we know SR2 would go even as far as Vice City? We don't. All it has in its favor is online play, which frankly anybody into the GTA series could probably give a flip about. I don't. The last thing I need is to have my ride blown to bits by some squeaky-voiced teen trying to act gangsta.
