i disagree, two niche games that get most of there attention for being unique. The list is a bit sucky though.
It's funny how everyone said 07 sucked for the PS3, but then here we have IGN editors put Resistance 1, Super Stardust HD, Warhawk, and Uncharted 1 pretty high up on the list. If Infamous made it at 13, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 at 10, and Killzone 2 and 9, what could be at 5-1? Uncharted 2 will probably make it up at the top, but what other games on the PS3 are better than the ones already listed. I highly doubt Resistance 2 or Motorstorm will make it.

Now, that's a good list! I'd swap a few places and a few games, but overall pretty much all my favorites are on there and recieving decent honors. You should go stab that idiot at IGN and take his job! :P
What a ridiculous list... I'm supposed to believe that Super Stardust HD is a better game than Demon's Souls and A Crack In Time? Or that Wipeout HD is not only better than those, but also better than Oblivion?
its disappointing that demons souls and valkyria chronicles are so low. western critics piss and moan about how "japanese games lack any innovation". so what happens when japanese games are released that not only break new ground but execute it properly? they overlook them and favor sequels that very much resemble the last product.
Not a very good list from IGN. I mean it was ok I guess, but there were many things that were left out, not in the right place, or games that just shouldn't have been on the list at all.
The Last part of the list was a bit too cliche. Not to say that MGS 4 and Uncharted 2 don't deserve it, but anybody could see it coming. I still think the list was a bit premature given that4 to5 major games and then some are coming to the PS3 by March. Let's suppose MAG, White Knight Chronicles, God of War 3, ,Heavy Rain, Yakuza 3, and Final Fantasy 13 get 8.5's or higher, then it kind of makes the list obsolete. It's lame to do a top 25 games list with supposedly big games hitting shelves with in 2 months or less. It's kind of like an extention the holday season if you know what I mean. We don't know how good Last Rebellion will be either.
I have a lot of problems with the list lol. I don't mind MGS4 on the top, that was a great game. I don't really understand why Uncharted: DF is so high, for instance, though. It was a good game, it wasn't better than a host of the games numbered after it though. That ones confusing to me.
I understand that Resistance Fall of Man made more of a significant impact on the PS3 than Resistance 2.. but R2 not being on that list at all really bothers me lol. R2 is one of the best PS3 exclusives out there, period.
I agree with the ranking of some of these games, but it's fairly clear that I and the person/people who contributed to this list have wildly different tastes. *Edit* i just noticed that i already posted in this thread a really long time ago... back in ninety-foe :P
The list is exceptional guys... stop complaining. Sure they misplaced Demon's Souls and what not. but at least it's there and they acknowledge it as a great game. I'm not surprised @ their #1 being Metal Gear Solid 4. The IGN reviewer said that the game deserved an 11/10 so... And Metal Gear Solid 4 is the most stunning video game ever made. I'm happy with the top5, though my list would be a lil bit different : 1. Metal Gear Solid 4 2. Uncharted 2 3. The Elder Scrolls:IV Oblivion 4. LittleBigPlanet 5. God of War 3 Heck, IGN at least factually got MGS4 and UC2 right :D :D
