I'm just about a 100 bucks away from owning a PS3. I'm trying to get the 60 gig before it runs out dry. I'm trying to save enough money to buy the console, one game to go a long with the console, and try to save enough money in my bank account

all I can say is that it'sdefinitly worth it and I also think the 60gb is the best SKU available with almost 100% BC.

well if you are looking to get a game as well and you are only 100 buck away i say drop the game for now and get that 50 thats left for the system and buy it right away before you dont see the 60gig anymore

seriously the game can wait

I agree. although the 40 gig is so much cheaper, it's not backward compatable. which sucks. and the 80 gig most likely won't play all of my ps2 games that I still want to play after I get my ps3.

I thought of that idea, but I really don't want to play the crap out of demos and stuff. So if I've waited this long to get a ps3, I can wait just a little bit longer.

i thought playing ps2 games would be sweet, but u need the controller plugged in (the wire given is very short) and there is no slot for a ps2 memory card (need to buy a separate adapter). i personally think the backwards compatibility is a little over rated. when i go to buy my next game (christmas time) i'm must likely gonna trade in the few ps2 games i have.

but hey, thats my 2 cents. judge for yourself

You need to press the PS button after starting up a PS2 game. It even tells you this when the game is starting up. it says "press the PS button". The controller also turns off after you exit out of a PS2 game. Its not a big deal. I also remember the rumors before launch of "if you want to hook up another controller, you have to plug it in to sync it with the PS3". That turned out to be bogus. It's more difficult syncing a 360 controller than a PS3 controller.

actually plugging it in to sync it is very true

if you just press the PS button out of the box on a seperate controller then it will just continue to flash and not connect
