i'm very dissapointed with Motorstorm

I honestly don't have the heart to play it anymore...it's so much more complicated then it really needs to be. like why can't i just go to a track, pick the vehicle and play? Is it really that hard? with the racing truck level (second) I can't get higher then 3rd place and i've tried over 50 times. sometimes i don't even know where the hell to go in a level like i drive in the middle of the open and find out it's the wrong way and i lose the loooong race. the races are boring, they aren't that upbeat like the trailers are, it gets on my nerves. anyways, i'm very dissapointed with this game and i don't have the heart to play it anymore....i paid 80 dollars for this game and it's a rip. and now you have to pay for downloadable content...I'm very sad and dissapointed with sony right now....coldkill19

At the moment we haven't confirmed specifically what we're doing with downloadable content. We are doing it. I think people won't have to wait as long as four to five months. We'll be doing stuff sooner than that. We've got some really exciting DLC -- downloadable content. We have got tracks and vehicles and characters, but also we've got modes as well to expand the width of the game, and some of them are really, really cool. I don't think people are going to be disappointed with what we're proposing for download. Some of its going to be paid-for content, but also we're going to give some content away for free, which I think is really, really going to go down well with the community. Because we're giving away some real substantial content which is really going to help the community, sustain the community and give them something a little bit new, which I think downloadable content is all about.

Sony will soon offer alternatives to using credit cards for purchasing things, you just have to wait for the official announcement.

As for the TC, you'll find many reviewers back you up regarding the difficulty of the single player. The new issue of EGM in particular takes time to bash both the interface (forcing you to use specific vehicles) and the difficulty curve.

Personally I only bought it for multiplayer as I hate racing games but with voice support I enjoy getting laughed at as I fall off cliffs.

Then you must really be bad at this game.  I have got first place in every race, and I am up to ticket #11 or 12.  Now it may take me a few times, but I have placed first for each race. 

You have to race the track a few times to find all of the paths and find which is best for your vehicle class.  There is only one race that is huge and you could get lost (although not likely) and that is sidewinder gulch, but I doubt you made it to that track, as you don't have access to it until somewhere around ticket #8.

This game has been one of the most fun games that I have ever played and I have been playing since the NES.  It has all of the chaos, carnage, jumps, mud, and crashes that the trailer promised.  While the graphics are not exactly like the trailer, it is really close and the mayhem is first rate.

Stick to it pal.  Follow the cars that are in the same class as you and they will likely show you the best route for your car.  You have to fight the terrain just as much as the other players.  Line up all jumps and work out good lines to race through the bumpy terrain in order to keep from flipping and crashing into billions of tiny glorious HD pieces.
