Only you can decide that based on your gaming tastes and checking if the PSPs library satisfies those tastes.

i think it is its only $170 then you spend $80 on a 4gb memory stick so for $250 you have a device that can store music and store movies and tv shows that you can download for free so i think its worth it and the game libray isn't too bad

That's a trick question. It's definitely worth the money. However, if you're like me and have very little to no use for it then the money it's worth will take years for it to pay itself off. I always say this. If you enjoy handheld gaming and have a use for a handheld then it's easily worth the money. If you don't have any use for it then it's probably not worth the money. But in general yes, it's easily worth the money if you actually take some time to play it...

For the great games it has in its vast library, yes it most definitely is. Actually, I think the price is actually cheap. Had it been more, I would have payed more.

Is it worth the money now. yes. Was it worth the money a year ago, no way. Memory stick prices have plumeted so if you want a good game you can skip out on it and get say a 1-2 gig memory stick depending on the sales there having. Before memory used to be expensive and i mean EXPENSIVE but now with the release of the 4 gig card 1 and 2 gigs prices have fallen fast and far along with the price of the actual system. And i've been noticing that most games now are falling the the 30-35 dollar range so i see a small slip there.

And as for the quality of the games there great now, but by the end of this year the PSP will really start to look like a next-gen handheld. (even though its technically not)

I bought my PSP a few months after release and loved it for a while, then I noticed that not very many games I had interest in were coming out. So then I sold it to get Guitar Hero 2 for 360. Do I regret doing that? Yes, in fact I do. I love Ratchet and Clank and I noticed that there is a Ratchet and Clank game for PSP and Tales of the World looks amazing! Also, SOCOM 2, Killzone, Vice City Stories, Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition, etc. Basically, on my next paycheck (now that I have a job YAY!) I'll be getting a PSP and Ratchet and Clank and a 1 or 2 gig memory stick. If I have more, I'll get Socom FTB 2 or GTA Vice City Stories.

Oh, so I guess that means YES, the PSP is worth the money. Especially since it only costs $169.99 now. Though it would've been better with 2 analogue sticks...

It's worth the money. But if you spend the extra money on a Memory Stick, it's even more worth it.

My PSP setup cost me $270 I guess, but it's worth it. And now that the first wave of games that actually took time to make are coming in, it will be even more so.
