Is anyone else waiting for ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

Nah I can't be bothered with hack n slash anymore. Just not fun.

I was, but cutting the gore put me off. I'm might rent it to check out the new stuff sometime. I did play through NG2 3 times.

I too have been put off because of the removal of the blood and gore. It just seems like such an unnecessary downgrade to me.
I'll still get it eventually, but only aftera big price drop. There's too many other games coming out that haven't yet disappointed me with bad news, so I'll go for them first.

Not getting a game because it's not bloody and gorey seems a little strange to me my sociopathic friends

I found that there was a bit too much blood in the 360 version to be honest. How is it dumbed down? You get to play 4 characters in story mode instead of just one. You get to play online coop. The overall story mode in NG2 was inferior to the first especially in the middle of the game. While the game retains it's difficulty of the first, it uses hard in cheap ways. There are no puzzles like in the first. NGS 2 seems to be a significant improvment over the first. I might give it a rent just because I already played it on 360 but I would advise waiting for a pricedrop. Read my review of the game. I hate to say this, but gamespot is actually pretty accurate in their review. I gave thea little bit of a lower score than GS did.

Since its been censored and dumbed down, I'll be sticking with the 360 version. What a pathetic design choice...raven_squad

Apparently the gore/dismemberments led to graphical errors on the 360 version. I guess instead of fixing the problem, they just got rid of it. I haven't heard any news of it being dumbed down though. I'm sure the difficulty will be just as hard as NG2.

Never was a Ninja Gaiden fan...

Hmm guess I was wrong then. Even so, a dumbed down version of Ninja Gaiden is harder than most games on their hardest difficulty

There is gore in the ps3 version but not to the level of the 360 version. and the game has improved in too many ways to count. Androvinus

Well the 2 bosses in the airplane level was pretty much unfair and the same with the mines still being there after you stepped on them. If they are going to rework that then more power to them. where is the link confirming that it will be easier. Don't give me crap Playstation sites stating it. Sigma 1 was hard enough even if it was easier than the xbox version. It's not like they are going to make the game a breeze. It won't be mario sunshine to mario galaxy difficulty drop. The game was good but it wasn't anything special to begin with. It is rather annoying that this is one of the top games on PS3 this fall. We have games like Uncharted, Ratchet, and Demon Souls, and then this. The first quarter of the game is cool and the last quarter is cool. The middle of the game is rather annoying. Technical issues from the origianl xbox game still plagued the sequel such as bad camera and the game had a tendency to freeze up as well. You would think after putting out NG 1 3 times, they would have fixed the issues for the second game. From what I hear some of those issues have been addressed to a degree but not as much as they should be. The graphics look a bit better than the original xbox game and sigma but it still has a last gen look to the game overall. I don't know what the creator was talking about when he was complaining about not getting paid for overtime. What effort did he even put into the game that went to extreme levels. NG 2 was a "good" game at best but failed to live up to the previous game. Hopefully 3 new characters and an online coop mode are enough to make up for the somewhat irritating and lackluster story mode. GS was right on the money with their review.

It's not the fact that it has almost no blood that's irritating, it's the fact that it was there, but they've taken it out of the PS3 version. IMO, it looked great on the Xbox360 version, now we get this tacky purple mist to replace it.
Oh also, no limbs flying off enemies, either. Sure you can cut them off, but now they just dissapear into thin air instead of falling to the ground. It just looks wrong.

The game retains it's original M rating, regardless of the changes, so it's not like they're going to expand their audience with this decision.

I understand everyone's frustrations, but the simple matter is, if you're a fan, you're a fan. blood and gore shouldn't matter. i'm not gonna lie, i love chopping people's heads off in the first game, it was pretty much my main move lol.

If it had chicks bathing in blood I would be sold. Seeing as it won't...it'll probably end up being a "I'm bored OH look it's $30!:o" purchase.:P

I have read that the reason the toned down the blood and gore was because they needed to sell it over in the pacific. Most stores wouldn't stock the game with all the blood and gore that was in it and because of the "z" rating or something.

I mean come on, what IS THAT PURPLE MIST. Are you serious? Atleast have as much blood as was in Ninja Gaiden Sigman with the ability to chop off limbs. Jesus, this is a Mature game not a T rated game....
