Is anyone getting Battlefield 3?

I am buying BF3 for both the PC and the PS3, and I am wondering if anyone here is planning to get the game.

I have never played a console FPS before, so is there aim assist in BF3 for the consoles? I didn't play the PS3 version of the beta.

The beta didn't have any aim assist, atleast, i didn't notice any that would compare to COD.

I am.....but on PC. I cant play shooters with a controller.

the beta did have aim assist, but idk how it was since I turn it off on all console shooters. just play it on hardcore mode on ps3 and you'll be able to get into a lot of good games since it'll have the more dedicated/hardcore fanbase. still, pc is the way to go for this game, though consoles shouldn't be bad by any means.

Some real-life friends are playing the console version, and I want to join them. Also, my PC is busted at the moment. I bought the PC version for just $42, so it's not that bad.

Already have it pre-ordered for PS3 and can't wait! I am very picky on the games that I buy...the only games I'm buying this holiday season is BF3 and Skyrim.

the next season I think will be in 2013 for the 50th anniversary. Sadly, Eccleston said he won't come back so there won't be a remake of the original 3 doctors (not that there was going to be, but it would be cool). There's a Christmas special this year and possibly some specials throughout the year. Rory and Amy will be back sometime next season as they already signed on. Plus, Moffat didn't finish the majority of the story arcs, so hopefully they'll be solved realatively early on next season. I'll stop there as to not completely take the thread off topic.
