Is Assassins Creed good?

I like sandbox games, and Im upset that a lot of people are complaining about framerate issues, because Im sure they're not that bad, it seems like some of you are very nitpicky.

It looks a lot of fun and gamerankings has it at like 80. What do you guys have to say about it?

I have no frame rate issues, it did use to freeze with the old 2.0 firmware but the latest 2.01 fixed it and I have had no problems of any kind since,

I like it, it can get a liitle repetative as you basically do the same kind of missions in each city you visit so some may be put off by that but i have fun doing them, It looks great and I like the story also, it's part of a trilogy ( so Ubisoft say) so i look forward to the next game in the series.

I actually find the combat one of the best parts of the game, it's not to bad, you get better moves as the game goes on, and the counters can be quite good to look at especailly when it goes in slow motion and close up,

The frame rate is constantly pretty slow (it generally doesnt slow down.. it just doesnt go smooth to start with) :) ... Sadly this effects the fighting scenes and can make it a little annoying at times.. It is a good game, just not brilliant. The graphics are a bit jaggy in places and the camera work is pretty poor most of the time.. You have to constantly re-adjust it manually.

Overall, its still one of the better games we have available though..

What kinda tv are you playing on?

720p screen mode.. (full rgb) ..I think I`m just spoilt by games like COD4 and Motorstorm :)

I have yet to really experiance framerate issues. I game flows surprisingly smooth

its good but repetitive

recommend a rent, i felt regret spending 60 buck on it.

The frame rate thing you can get over it because no game will be perfect there will always be some kind of glich minor or major. With that said I find the game not as good as people say but it's a better than average game. I would give it a 4/5 or 7.5/10 because the game isn't as open as they said it will be. You basically follow the path that was set for you and one of the major features was that it was open ended.

Like for instance you will have to pick pocket a guy if you fail to do so the person resets back to were he was which was the whole point of Assassin's Creed. It doesn'tset the game back it just doesn't live up to the promises they were talking about constantly in interviews. It's a highly recommended 4/5 or 7.5/10 with a lot of fun to be had. When I play I can see how much potential this game had but just didn't live up to the promise yet still satisfying your gaming needs.

Assassins Creed didn't interest me that much for a long time. The hype surrounding it confused me really, mainly because I thought it looked pretty generic.

But boy oh boy was I in for a treat. Assassins Creed was the game that jumped out of the box and suprised me with how awesome it was. The free roaming is fantastic, especially since you can scale any building or surface etc. The battles are great, and although stuff like the side missions aren't very varied, and could become quite repetetive, the game keeps it fresh with the great storyline, which has a sci-fi slang to it. The graphics are among the best i've seen, and it get's even more points in this department from me because the game is huge. Each city (there's about 4 I think) is enormous and extremely detailed with different types of lighting etc, as well as tons of different looking buildings, people and texture. When the clouds cover the sky, you actually see it on the ground and when looking at the sky that the sun has been blocked out, and it gets dimmer because of it.

Overall it's a 9/10 game for me. Check it out :)
