So two extra players online means that COD 4 wants to help the PS3? What the hell kind of logic is that? The 360 got the online beta, which is more likely to mean that the Live online will be a better overall experience. Plus, Infinity Ward decided to give the PC and 360 buyers a nicely done Collector's Edition, but the PS3 just gets the standard version and nothing else.
On top of that the 360 version is the one they are always showing off, and if anything seems to be the more refined game, I'd like you to honestly look me in the virtual eye and tell me that COD 4 is all about helping the PS3 over it's competition.
If you really want to buy a game closer to Area 51, and that is showing support for the PS3, get Haze, it's an exclusive.

I don't care about helping the PS3, but what I do care about is a developer giving a function to another console which it could have done in equal fairness to the same console.
I am not a PS3 fanboy, I am a PS3 user who has a PS3.
Finally someone gets me. I have the PS3 version of VF5 and now they say it has online for the 360. I am tired of these publishers screwing me out of my money. I want the same content on my system as a 360 consumer gets on his. And should I say more Dragonball Z tenkicahi 3 will have online functions on the Wii, but not the PS2 is BS. We need to send some letters to the developers and let them know we aren't going to take this crap anymore. shadowfox55
Yes you are right. The only way things can at least have a rolling start at getting better is if we stop getting 3rd party games that are no more than watered down 360 versions. Theres NO reason at all for this. Look at Madden '08....several people boycotted that freaking game and I'm sure EA felt some type of way about that. That's why when NHL '08 came out it was almost identical to the 360 version. We know that our system is as strong enough to have decent versions of 3rd party games. We don't need proof because we have games like R&C, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance Fall of Man, Unchartered Drake, Haze and plently others comming to prove it.
And Haze is a timed exclusive. shadowfox55
I thought it was an official all out PS3 exclusive now. They've been made that announcement I think...I kinda remember hearing that
And Haze is a timed exclusive. shadowfox55
No it's not it's a full PS3 exclusive, look it up, other versions were cancelled.

Yeah I know they were cancelled. But it was stated that there will be no other platform...not even at a later date. I don't see this being a timed release anymore if they said that. Even when you look at the game on GS...PS3 is the only version. Normally, if it was gonna be multiplat they would show..."also on...XBOX 360, ARC, PC...." etc....

HAZE is a PS3 exclusive only and production was never really happening on the 360. If this game sells well I could see it comming out in a year or two on PC but definitely not the 360.
"HAZE will be available in November 2007, exclusively for the Playstation3." - David Doak
That came out of David Doak's mouth so you can bet your ass HAZE is PS3 exclusive. If and this is a BIG IF , they do go multiplat it won't be for at least a year and a half/two years after the initial release.

Nah, this game was butchered for the PS3 and I refuse to support developers pulling that crap. Thankfully I don't want the game so I won't buy the PS3 or 360 version, but still, it's bogus that they stripped such important features from the game.
In my opinion the price of the PS3 version should be reduced because you're getting much less game so why should you have to pay just as much money? Screw developers pulling that crap, they aren't getting my money.
We're not talking graphical differences here, but stuff that is important to the enjoyment of the game online, and when they pull this crap they lose out on my money, and hopefully others as well. Inexcusable.

Correct man, and very good comments you guys. We just want what the PS3 deserves. There's no sense in giving us water downed versions.

Please, let's do some actual research before spewing rumors you wish were true. There are two modes which support 18 players in both console versions of COD4, and the rest support 16. I believe the confusion was caused by a screenshot of the 18 player mode on the PS3. However, Infinity Ward looks to be really focusing on the PS3 version, if interviews, screenshots, videos, hands-on previews, etc can be believed. I guess we'll all know in a couple of weeks.
