If you really have time to play a lot of games I would, but if you only get to play them from time to time I'd just stick with the xbox. Let me explain before I get flamed. My wife bought me a ps3 about 6 months back and now my 360 sits dormant about 99% of the time. I play my ps3 the most, but now I don't play my 360 which makes having the two consoles seem silly. I prefer my ps3, but seeing as I don't have a lot of time for gaming, I think having either/or would suffice. But that's just in my case, and honestly I only get to play games on weekends and most of the time only after our son goes to bed. I do agree with most people on here though, if you do get one you really have a huge list of great exclusives to dive into, and most of them are dirt cheap now. Super_Maribro
100% agreed. choosing a console depends on the amount of time you would spend on it. if you are young enough like a high school boy or a student you can take both. But when you go to work it's a disaster if you both want to entertain and earn living. of course it depends on your career, blabla.
i have ps3 for nearly a year with almost 20 ps3 games but actually ve beaten 5 out of them, of course not full of trophies only story modes. exclusive ones certainly like GOW series, U2... when i looked that pile of disks i got crazy feelings about playing them but fact is i don't have time for all. it's like you see a lot of girls in the street but actually you just drop your jaw off with out a damn action with them. a feeling of impotence.
but the stupid mind still drives me into keeping buying some others worthy. but i bet i could only fulfill my damn collection of games bought for watching and catching up with the trend.
and man, just buy something really worthy a price. like Super_maribro said many gone cheap thesedays.
