is it bad to unplug hdmi cable and power cable from ps3 slim too clean it?

i clean and dust my ps3 slim like every 2 weeks and i unplug the power cable and hdmi cable from it( with the ps3 off of cource). Is doing this harming my ps3 slim in any way possible?

PS-i use compressed air to blow the dust from top of ps3

Of course not, why would you think unplugging cables does harm. The only way that would do harm is you swing the system around like a lasso, using the cables lol.

If your PS3 is on, most likely. Otherwise, it shouldn't harm it, especially considering you have to unplug it every time you want to move it or completely turn it off. Unplugging HDMI cable does no harm even while playing.

I unplug my PS3 probably 3 times a week to move it back and fourth beteen tv's. I've been doing this for like 6 months and so far so good:D

every 2 weeks u clean it? seems excessive... i haven't dusted my ps3 since i got it.

Its in a nice snuggy dust cocoon which i feel makes it run faster and more quietly. same goes with my 360, its not as dusty, but i never clean it either. Its weird too, my ps3 is black but its a greyish color now with the dust on top of it. looks pretty good to tell u the truth, less glossy.

I'd be more cautious about compressed air, it uses a mix of gases that may lie after use on the electronic parts (no enough chemical knowledge to know if it's true), PC users use it to remove dust from fans, which is no electronic thus not risky

Just be sure not to blow compressed air into the PS3 itself... that could cause issues.
