I play mainly MGS4 online and its pretty good compared to my adventures on Halo3 .... but still nothing beats good old Quake3Arena for maturity ... that and Counter-strike 1.6 is pretty good. Older PC games usually have older players so its nice to actually have a community at all unlike the consoles which pretty much use matchmaking 24/7... im hoping Home changes this though.
That'll change your mind. It's not the system, but the games you play. Games that are too complicated for the general casual idiot, won't be populated by them. Good example, Socom.

another good example is warhawk i have never heard any person say anything that wasnt team based or Shi@ talk on that game i love it
my kids are gonna be VETERANS at survival horror games and socom games.
and, back on topic, yeah i love the ps3 online.....doesnt cost a fortune, and people have some sense.....eh, sometimes.....most of the time
but one thing i do hate is the mexicans. ya know, the dudes that play cod4 at night and all their names are like pablo234 and theres at least 10 of them. i dont hate mexicans for their race, their presence and their voice is just....BAAHH

Lol, i'm pretty sure they're Argentinians ;) I've also seen em' crazy messed up version of real spanish, I always mute them. Live is far worse online, so I agree with tc here. At least twice i've tried out Halo3 on Live & there is always that little kid yelling & swearing till you hear him make some farting noise, then he'll start talking like he's SO good at Halo lol. On PSN, MGO has given me the most problems,bc joining a lobby & Tbagging everyone after I kill them they get pissed & try to kill me but they can't
