is it me or does the FPS view of MGS4 look really bad and un - detailed? [poll]

i know many people aren't gona play this game in FPS view but i need it to aim and is it me or does the gun in FPS view look really bad and under-detailed. cuz all i saw for the P90 were rectangles and it made it look like some old shooter gun.

and also i hope it gets fixed. what do you think. cuz if it doesn't get fixed you know how lemmings and sheep are. they'll start talking s**t about it

Who cares? MGS4 is not meant to be an FPS, its an extra view...if it looks good cool, if not I will admire the amazing game from the third person view or from the over the shoulder view...

Really, I mean how many people were thinking man I wish MGS4 was an FPS?

I don't think the gun is held in an aim posistion like that the whole time. If I remember, I though I saw him for one second put the sniper to his side like a regular FPS. If that is true, MGS4 is the god of all Stealth Games.GIJesse77

and BTW he put his sniper aside cuz he was re-loading so it will always be like that. but as every one is saying its meant to be played in third-person or over the shoulder (same thing i think)

I'll agree with the original poster. I mean, it looked ok, but FPS usually have the gun on the bottom right of the screen, not in the middle. I like playing MGS games in 3rd person anyway. And the "over the shoulder" view he's got going is truly amazing. I love the part of the video where he runs, dives, turns around, and takes out the guy on the roof. blitzinger123

yeh man and the poster and dirt flying around :) i also love the way the sand pops up when you shoot and how it looks like an action movie when he rolls away from it and stuff. i also like the neat little feastures like you get flies around you and get stinky when you go in a dumpster or when you puke after you roll around in a barrel as well as back pain and the magazine. this is a dream game :)

Well, since this game isn't a first person shooter, the gun models and the textures are the same as in third person view.

The gun looks great in third person, but when you put the same model really close to your face it's obviously not going to look as good as in a game that was designed as a first person shooter.

1. sheep cant complain, the guns in their games are black rectangles that make odd noices

yes, i also thought that all the game looked AMAZING except for the fps shooter, but who cares over the shoulder is enough for me to shoot enemies, and i this i'm going to be fps only with sniper, which is a scope not zoomed wep model.

btw the new gameplay footage made me want this game, altho i didn't play any mgs game ever, but thanks to wikipedia i know the story, sort of =\
