If anybody didn't believe that Nintendo show at E3 with the DS statistics being mostly female, this is the proof right there.

It is sad, but it's to be expected. It's for the same reason Britney Spears or some boy band will outsell some real talented artist or band. It's for the same reason some lame fad movie will crush a really good one. And yes, it's also because way more people own Wii's than PS3's. MSG4 is more for Core and Hardcore gamers, and right now Wii and casual games are kicking butt in sales. Yup, very sad indeed...Vainamoinen82

MGS4 is one of the best of all games i have ever played, nintendogs is pathetic, firstly why on earth would parents buy their children a virtual dog when you can just get a real one, secondly why would you want to play a game about dogs.KorruptRaiden

That would be an adorable kid!

1) VgChartz was never accurate when it came to sales.
2) VgChartz don't count bundles and special edition sales.
3) Wii is outselling the PS3 "like.no.other". So the percentage of people buying that dog thing is way more higher than people buying MGS4 on PS3.
4) According to KONAMI, months ago, they confirmed that MGS4 sold over 4.33 millions. As of this moment, MGS4 might have surpassed the 5 million copies already.

Actually I am a 32 year old male and I have Nintendogs (I got it when I got my DS) and I have to admit its a really innovative and fun game. What I think is great about it is it

uses all the features of the DS to make a very interactive experience. Yes MGS4 was brilliant but Nintendogs was really the first game of its type that let you do the stuff it has

to offer and the fact it is kid friendly and very well made means of course it has sold well. MGS4 was targeted at hardcore gamers on a rather expensive console whereas

Nintendogs is on a cheap system and made so anyone can pick it up.

It's a sad day when we are comparing games, on a sales basis ..

1) VGchartz should't be taken seriously, as it's clear that they're amateurs with only limited input on sales (they say in their faqs that they take numbers from "some" retailers and developers and multiply that by a factor ...)

2) I'm more angry at adults buying the Wii and playing it 2 or 3 days and collecting dust after, than some kids playing Nintendogs or Pokemon

It takes advanced users to enjoy MGS4 Like we do, i clocked it and i thought it was a bloody brilliant game.

Then again, its pretty much teens + adults vs the world for nintendo dogs, lil kids play it, parents, teens and all.

MGS4 only reaches out to a certian audience mainly of a certian age (mainly), also there are far more nintendo dog games.

And to top it all off, 33% of the population is girls, only a few % would like MGS4 (fiction statistics) and a far higher majority would like Nintendo Dogs (also fiction), if it was only guys in the world then MGS4 would demolish it, but there are little kids and girls enjoying the advances of technology these days.
