I have a 40gb Ps3 and i was wondering if it is worth getting a ps3 slim?, i have 500mb free space left on my ps3. So the more space the better.

You can save yourself tons of money by upgrading your HD instead. After the Gran Turismo 5 install, I was left with 3200 MB on my 40GB HD. I upgraded the drive via amazon 160GB. It was fairly cheap ($30).

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00415X6WO/ref=oss_product - - - Holy crap, it's $70 now, but when I purchased it on 12/29 it was only $30. Search the site for others, but if you do decide to upgrade, much sure it's a "5400 SATA/300 5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive"

Actually it good system minus 2 usb and not be able to play PS2 games on the slim console . the only Con about the PS3 is the freaking updates or installing games into your hard drive which take forever lol i mean if your willing to give yourself the time to wait ;)

i think its worth it if you really need it, if your not having issues i would just make sure you are backing up your 40gb with an external and wait till a price drop this year if you really want it

If your just looking for more hard drive space, I would recommend just upgrading your hard drive.
