I don't think I would buy it if I were you. I would rent it. I played the single player already, and traded it in already for NBA Street.
Pretty graphics, and kinda fun, but not a very long term game. Online was "ok", but laggy at times, and people couldn't hear me on my mic in that game.
If you like smashem up brutal racing the yes buy it. And on a side note why don't you play online, the reason I'm asking is in a couple of months you can download time trial. Which should have been in the game and they have more tracks in the works as well.

Seems wise to me. I definitely want the game, but the whole "only 8 tracks" sort of put me off a bit, as I mainly wanted it for the single player as well. The game just looks killer to me, though, and I am not even that much of a racing game fan. As a matter of fact, the last racing game that I thoroughly enjoyed, was probably Road Rash on the Sega Genesis.
That game was beyond addictive. Now, just imagine playing a racing game like THAT on the PS3.:wink: Getting chased by cops on your bike and getting to kick them off of theirs is priceless. Why someone has not brought that game out on a next-gen console yet, I will never understand.
Hell ya it is as there is no difference in the game except your playing against people you don't know. The game and everything else is the same without online.
I would play online but my internet connection is not fast enough. I really wish it was faster.dkmanrocks
Rogers and Bell (in Canada) now have a box that you just plug into the wall and it's instant high-speed:D. That's how I play, and I have no lag in any games so far:).
The game won't be good if you don't play online. The game doesnt even have offline two players. Just play online, its very easy to use and its free so why not?
Offline IS fun. It's all about winning to get tickets to get more tracks with more choices of vehicles. So far I have like 5 choices for each vehicle. Not the original 3. I think. Doing Tenderizer in a Rally Car is WAY different than doing it in a Big Rig or 4-wheeler. Each track has multiple routes for the vehicle type you are in. Using those to your advantage, in a level 4 race, in a car you don't like driving as much as others is VERY challenging to say the least. I even enjoy watching my sons play as it's funny/fun to watch even.....
