Most PC games....

Garry's mod IMO trumps LBP with depth.

EDIT: LBP isn't innovative just because it does something that is rarely done. LBP doesn't do anything that hasn't been done before.

Most innovation in my opinion occurs within mod communities, not in the game industry. It isn't economically a good idea to take risks with innovation when you can create a title that you KNOW will sell.

Like I said, you don't understand what innovative means. You are going off you perception of the word, but new flash... the world doesn't run off what things mean to you. Sure you may think pie is that same as cake because they are both deserts, but the fact of the matter is pie and cake are indeed two different things, and LBP is innovative.

Ah, the limits of the spoken word.

Edit: Or written. Man, I'm just not on top of it today.

Also, LBP isn't out yet, who are you to say Garry's mod is a deeper game... Oh that's right you've had a chance to fully master the game and completely see everything that's in the game already.

If it's not out....why are you claiming it's innovative and revolutionary?

I'm not bashing the game, it looks like a crapload of fun, I just don't see what is innovative.

Which is your opinion, simply put. Factual though it is indeed innovative. We can't change your opinion nor do we (or at least I dont) plan to.

Even if its not, that still doesn't make it not innovative. You are just changing up the definition of the word to fit your need, if everybody did that then I could say that LBP is a jade game. (yes that's about as much sense as you're making)

This innovative chat is a headache. From what I've seen LBP is about making the game what you want, there is no set object to every level and the game can be molded into any kind the user wishes. I've never heard of a game of the same type before. Gary's MOD is a completely different aspect plus not on consoles. Its more of a creative studio than a game. Innovative or not, LBT is revolutionary and a great new start into games that dont involve killing people but can be enjoyed. Finally people can start being creative besides deciding where to put a bullet in something.

Now you have seen a game that you can mold in anyway you like with simple knowledge.

I do agree with what you say though, its definetly a refreshing start.

The (hopeful) ease of creation makes it very appealing to many people. I put hopeful because I haven't played it yet so I don't actually know exactly how easy it is...

Innovation is something new. LBP isn't doing anything NEW, it's doing something that isn't done often. Everything that LBP does has been done before, but not on consoles.

You are just a hater, I constantly see you hating on LBP in the forums.

His statement/question was justified, yours was not. It is evolutionary at most but isn't revolutionizing anything. (User created stuff has been around a long time, they are just implementing it a little different.)

The innovation comes from the time it was created not the creation its self. LBP is the flower that's blooming in the field of FPS and sports, that's why its so praised. In this time frame and this state of mind LBP is very revolutionary.

you get that from a bible? just messing its quite original the way its going to be the customisation gone to a new level basically creating yor own games within a game.

the real innovative aspect of Little big Planet is the controls.

The way you can control the characters to move individual parts has never been seen and quite direct method of controls.

That impressed me more than others.

Yeah, it will be a great game, but I doubt it will score a 10, SERIOUSLY doubt it will get GotY, and no chance it will be one of the greatest games ever.
