Motorstorm is supposed to be this big tournament thing where people come out to compete. It is situated in this one dessert but it consists of different courses, you'll understand more if you watch the intro trailer.
I've been playing the Japanese version for a few days now and so far i've only seen 5 different tracks i think. Although there's probably more as i haven't got that far in the games main "Festival" mode.                              Â

I heard there were 8 tracks in the japanese version (with variations for each one). I might be wrong tho.
The entire game takes place in the same "canyon", you just race in different parts of it. There are a dozen tracks I believe, (my friend imported it from playasia.com & lent it to me after he beat it). So yes, the entire game takes place in the same spot basically.
And there are no weather effects in the *** version.

well they said Night Racing would be out on the Euro/American version.
topic i checked out some images and all i saw were desert stuff, no jungles, ice ,mountains......elmetfano

Motorstorm has 8 tracks with 6 Different Lighting Conditions. Morning, AFternoon, Midday, Dusk, Nighttime...forgot the other one. Basically 8x6 =48 different situations with altternate paths each.

I'm not sure but isn't motorstorm game tracks supposed to be based around Ayers rock, in Australia? if so well there isn't much of weather effects there, it's about 48° (celsius) in the summer. What could be possible are Sandstorms or so called "willy willy's".
iam not syaing its realistic at all, iam syaing atlest the type of racing is relaistic, i undertand alot of the physics isn't realistic but races don't tkae place really anywhere else besides on tracks or dirt tracks. thats all, i think if they tried making different races in other places would be stupid, its just an opinion man.

Agreed. I don't see how they could have a jungle level. An ice level, perhaps, but it'd probably be exactly like the desert level but with ice.
