u got all the others and if u have the money to get another system go ahead! if you enjoy games from all spectrum's 360,wii and ps3 then it would be a good investment imo :)

I have all 3 consoles and I would still say yes, it's a good investment. Eventually there will be must have exclusive titles, however if you are pressed for cash there is little reason to rush out and buy one now imho.

There are a lot of good games coming out for it.

Here are the PS3's first party games that I can think of:
Afrika Angel Rings Eight Days Eye of Judgment Eyedentify Getaway God of War 3 Gran Turismo 5 Gretzky NHL Heavenly Sword Hot Shots Golf 5 Killzone 2 Lair Monster Carnival MotorStorm Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Resistance (franchise) SOCOM 4 Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Warhawk

This list doesn't even include the great 3rd party exclusives (i.e. MGS4 and FFXIII).

At current, it's a horrible investment, as the majority of games are multiplatform. If you want to buy a PS3, you'd be better off waiting a year or two when the library of games are more diverse to those found on the 360. If you're itching for a new console now, the Wii would be the way to go.

You get to watch nice Blu-Ray movies on an inexpensive Blu-Ray player while you wait for more games to come out. And the PS3's library of games will be as diverse as the 360's in less than a year. Sony also has about double the first party games coming out for it than Microsoft has (I'm not talking about cheap arcade games).

I just purchased mine earlier because the wife had a couple PS2 games that she hasn't completed yet and one that she really wanted to play.

There's really no reason to purchase one right now if you already have the 360, PS2 and handhelds.

i wanna say yes but what is the point in owing all the systems. outside of getting the best of all worlds you miss the gold hits especially if you dont have a lot of time.more isnt better in this situation.

If you have a 360 I probably wouldn't get a PS3 since they have many of the same games.  I'd wait a year until some more of it's exclusives come out and maybe there'll be a price drop.

It was a bit wierd of you to even ask that question in a playstation 3 forum. Of course everyone is going to say yes.

Your question basically comes down to if people think the technology of the system is solid and worth it.  IMO if you  have an HDTV yes it is, which is why I bought it.  I foresee (and it is already happening) Blu-Ray winning the format war over HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray movies look great.  Along with "TEH CELL!!' lol, it is really a solid machine that should have a long lifespan.  Other than that the choice is really yours.  I mean nobody can tell you what games you like, but it seems the PS3 has a solid lineup.  People love to bash it right now because of it's price and some bad PR which makes finding out fact from fiction tough.

If your patient then it is. Games are limted at the moment, but thats how Sony's launch has been since the ps1 so this is no surprise. As many have already stated, the PS3 is for the long haul. I have all the systems as well, and they all give you a difference gaming experience. If you can see past the present and look to the future then yes the Ps3 is a great invesment. If your looking to the short term(including all the games coming out in the next few months) then I say no. I love my system and I am glad I got mine since launch. From day one I knew Sony wouldn't have the best launch titles cause they never do, but if you look at their track record it has been pretty good, so I can sit back and play whats out till the great games hit stores.

Get the PS3 if you want some of the exclusive titles it has, otherwise I don't see any other reason to get it. Reason I'm not even thinking about getting an X Box 360 till Halo 3 and PGR 4 comes out.

I say go for it. A few people said "wait for price drop." I think unless it drops several hundred sometime soon you might as well get it now and enjoy it.  Chances are when the price does drop it will be like $50-100 and it may not be for a year or more. In my opinion you might as well just get it and enjoy it, you won't miss the money a year from now. You'll just remember how much fun your having.

If you're looking for an investment, put your money into the stock market so that it grows. If you want to have fun, buy a ps3. It is definitely not an investment seeing how it doesn't produce money.

There aren't much reasons to buy a PS3 with most of the supposed exclusives coming out on 360 as well. But I'm a console collector, so I got one anyway.

Investment - The outlay of money usually for income or profit (MW DIctionary). Any outlay of money is an investment. It can be a good or a bad investment. You can invest in the PS3 and hope for the profit of good gameplay and HD experience. I think it is an excellent investment for the long run. Sony is looking to have the PS3 last for 7-10 years.
