I've purchased and played the first Resistance and I wasn't too impressed. I still haven't finished it. It was an ok game but I have plenty of other games that I enjoyed a lot more. I'm in college and I work so I don't have too much time to play games that aren't really worth it. So my question is is if this game is a major improvement over the original and is it worth my time? I'm speaking to people who've actually played the game and understand my time constraint. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, this game has a little, no, A LOT of everything. Campaign, Co-op, Competitive, and Community. You'll find some way to enjoy this game, whether it be more in one aspect of the game than another.

However, I really recommend finishing the first game, as well as getting to know the Resistance universe, because it will help explain the campaign.

If you didn't like the first one, why would you buy the second one? It's essentially the same type of game. There are a few upgrades, including the online component. But it seems odd to buy part two if you didn't like part one.

Resistance 2, IMHO, is a bit of a disappointment. It only has an 88/100 on metacritic, and I expected at least a 92/100 metascore, so I won't be picking it up if it can't get more than 2 points above its predecessor. Lately R2's metascore has been dropping like a stone. Wouldn't be surprised if it went to 80 by the end of the week. Also consider that only 28 people have reviewed it over a week, whereas a game like Gears 2, which was out after R2, has 54 reviews already, and counting.

one question, what does anything you just said have to do with "you" buying a game?
